The #691, #2201, #4858, #3821, and #4875 F-22's all erroneously have the "Bombsight-Basic" property instead of the "Bombsight-Advanced Navigation (INS/GPS)" property. Such a bombsight is required to deploy the GBU-39 SDB's or JDAMs (of which rely on GPS/INS guidance) that are listed as weapons on the aircraft.

Is it possible to add a facility unit called generic cargo (of various sizes). It would come in handy for a scenario I am working on.

for example:
generic cargo (small)- cargo mass 5, cargo area 5 -*paradrop capable
generic cargo (medium)- cargo mass 10, cargo area 10
generic cargo (large)- cargo mass 20, cargo area 20
generic cargo (very large)- cargo mass 40, cargo area 40

category- structure
damage points- not important but possibly 1

Ship #827 F-101 Alvaro de Bazan, Spain
Ship #3014 F-105 Cristobal Colon, Spain

Both can carry SM-2MR IIIB (Weapon #1194)

Source DCSA (I'm sorry I can't post links...)

quote:

Spain – SM-2 Block IIIB STANDARD Missiles

WASHINGTON, August 24, 2007 - The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of a
possible Foreign Military Sale to Spain of SM-2 Block IIIB STANDARD missiles as well as associated
equipment and services. The total value, if all options are exercised, could be as high as $63 million.
The Government of Spain has requested a possible sale of 36 SM-2 Block IIIB STANDARD missiles (36
tactical missiles with warheads), 36 MK 13 MOD 0 canisters, section-level shipping containers, spare and
repair parts, support equipment, training, technical assistance, and other related elements of logistics
support. The estimated cost is $63 million.

This sale will enhance the Spanish Navy’s ability to engage in coalition warfare with the U.S. Navy. The
weapons will be carried on the Spanish Navy F-100 Class Frigates.

This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United
States by helping to improve the military capabilities of Spain and furthering standardization and
interoperability. It is important for Spain to maintain a strong self-defense capability.

Spain, which already has STANDARD missiles in its inventory, will have no difficulty absorbing these
additional missiles. The sale of this equipment and support will not affect the basic military balance in
the region.

The #4582 and #3819 SU-30SM are the only SU-30's missing the "Supermaneuverability (5th Gen Fighters)" property. The SU-30SM is the domestic variant of the SU-30 that's been ordered by the Russian air force of which implements the thrust-vectoring and frontal canards first implemented on the SU-30MKI (all of the MKI variants in the database correctly have said property.)

All variants of the SU-27/J-11 and SU-33/J-15 are missing the "Fly-by-Wire" property, despite the fact that the SU-27 was the first Russian fighter jet with a functioning fly-by-wire system, with all of it's later derivatives retaining the system.

Dear Developers. Some time ago i expressed request for some sort of practice munitions, which would generate HIT event, but without damage to the target. If this request is too complicated and not worth of time it would took to implement, can we get some Generic aerial, surface and underwater targets for the missions simulating exrecises? The Hamina class missile boats of the Finnish navy are going through a MLU that started in 2018 and will be completed in 2021. The first one, FNS Tornio, was returned from the ship yard late last year with the other ones to be complted within next year.

The changes are quite substantial, so it does warrant a DB update from 2021. Here are the biggest ones, with previous load in brackets:

Main artillery: Bofors 40 mm Mk.4 (previously Bofors 57 mm Mk.3, to be transferred to the Pohjanmaa corvettes)
Secondary artillery: 1 x SAAB Trackfire RVS with 12,7 mm MG (previously 2 x manual 12,7 mm MG)
ASM: 4 x Gabriel Mk.5 (previously 4 x RBS 15 SFIII)
ASW Torpedo: 2 x SAAB Torped 45, from 2023 Torped 47 (previosuly none)
Combat management system: SAAB 9LV Mk.4 (previously Atlas ANCS 2000)
Variable depth sonar: Kongsberg ST2400 (previously none)

They are also updated with the latest versions of the SAAB Ceros 200 radar and optronic tracking fire control director and the SAAB TRS-3D phased array C-band radar.

I'm unfortunatly not allowed to post the direct links, but information (and links) can be found in the Wikipedia article of the class.

MiG-29 PAZ buddy refuelling.

Egypt's MiG-29M (35) has ATA refuelling from Jane's article.
But article also refers to MiG-29K/KUB of the Indian Navy having PAZ buddy refuelling too.

https://www.janes.com/article/93679/egypt-demonstrates-aerial-refuelling-for-combat-aircraft

Manufacturers details of UPAZ and PAZ systems for MiG-29 and Su-33.

http://www.zvezda-npp.ru/en/node/708

Would be a nice to have buddy refuelling especially for the #920 Indian Navy MiG-29 and Russian #4622 and #57 Su-33 please.

#57 Su-33 Flanker D (Russian Navy)

Possible AA-10 load out title error or load amendment;

The standard ATA load #26675 has the title of AA-10A/C but only has 6 x AA-10A (R-27R)consisting of 2 x AA-10A and 4 x AA-10A plus 2 x AA-11. I think it should be 2 x AA-10C and 4 x AA-10A plus 2 x AA-11. By 1991 the AA-10C/R-27RE was in service.

The later Su-33 entry #4622 has the load out #26857 which is "correct", consisting of 2 x AA-10C 4 x AA-10A 2 x AA-11.

Could this be considered for amendment please as it makes the Su-33 underwhelming as a fleet defence asset to only have the AA-10A?

Thanks

As previously requested by others can a load which includes 2 x AA-10B or 2 x AA-10D (only two pylons have the required wiring and cooling for the IR seeker) be added please?

It significantly alters the potential of the aircraft which is (and was) Russians / Soviet unions main carrier based air defence.

Thanks

http://wiki.airforce.ru/images/7/7d/An-12рр.jpg

Hi! Where is the An-12RR in the database? This top secret aircraft was the pride of the Soviet Navy and Air Force. Not more than 2-3 aircraft were allocated per fleet or theater. It was definitely intended for ELINT and COMINT. And it had the most advanced equipment in the entire ComBlock, so Specific Emitter ID both for ELINT and COMINT is mandatory. I know from books that the following VMF aviation regiments had at least two-three such aircraft in each: 263 OTAP (Baltic), 917 OTAP (Black Sea), 912 OTAP (Northern Fleet), 593 OTAP (Pacific Fleet). OTAP stands for "Independent Transport Aviation Regiment". But in this case we are talking about secret special-purpose regiments. Please!

According to one unconfirmed sources An-12RR could have "Kvadrat-4", "Romb-5,6" ELINT systems, "Vishnya" COMINT system and so on. But there is also information about the continuous modernization and replacement of all these systems.

p.s.
The presence of 3 An-12RRs in the Black Sea Fleet for 1995 was even confirmed by official documents on the division of Soviet Black Sea Fleet between Russia and Ukraine.

p.p.s.
I am also 100% sure of deployment of 2 early versions of the aircraft in 1968 in Egypt and also in the 1980s in Afghanistan. So, in the end, the An-12RR is a Soviet analogue of the EP-3 Aries program.

Update.
In the next DB3K release there will be some units that you can use as targets named as follows:

[TARGET] QF-16A Falcon
[TARGET] DDG 42 Mahan
[TARGET] Submarine

All three units have appropriate defensive ECM but all the weapon mounts and loadouts are empty so they cannot fire back.

Practice ammunition is a different issue as CMANO/CMO does not allow for the infliction of 0dp. There is also the issue of what weapons should have practice rounds. With over 3,600 in DB3K it is not feasible to create such ammunition for each one.

Additionally, there are already several "targeting" markers in the database as you can see below and of course any placeable facility (building, refinery, etc) currently in the database can be used as a practice target.

Hope this helps in your scenario creation and testing.

-Wayne

Well...but will it look authentically if, let's say, i'm working on the scenario of Russian Northern fleet exercise, but using QF-16 as an aerial target and Mahan as a surface one?

Maybe add ^these^ + some Generic target units? Especially in the light of the fact that DB already has generic mines...

Or add these partucular units?

The #4013 KC-390 is: missing the "Fly-By-Wire" property, missing the "Wing Drogue" property (with the corresponding loadout to refuel aircraft using the two wing mounted drogues, with a 77,000 pound fuel capacity), missing the "Probe Refueling" property, has an incorrect top speed (should be 470 knots), and has the wrong IOC date (should be 2019 as that's when the first aircraft was delivered.)

Additionally, the aircraft is missing an entire entry under Portugal as they ordered five in 2019 to replace their C-130's (would be a clone of #4013, with an expected delivery date of 2023.) Not to mention that the name of the aircraft was changed in 2019, it is now known as the Embraer C-390 Millennium as a result of a joint venture with Boeing (a change that would apply to #4013 and the related Portugese entry for the aircraft.)

Hi!

Could you add CWDB #2588 - CVS Sea Control Ship for DB3000? It is interesting during Cold War scenario.

The JY-29 radar (db#2247, 2239, and 2240 ) should be a mobile vehicle and not a building. The description and the picture of the unit in the db indicates this.

Logged for change.
