Listening to Kushan on the Broken Shield twitch broadcast today, he mentioned the DB had been upgraded with v1.01.11216. Is it automatic or do I have to delete the old DB before I installed v1.01.11216 (which I already installed).

The DBs are part of the installs. You should already have a number of older ones already installed. Which one is used depends on the one used by the scenario designer so you should not need to do anything.
