If anybody out there is a dedicated Axis player and would like an opportunity to have some say on how to improve the game from your point of view, this is your chance. I would like you to join our development team.
You would have to sign an NDA with Matrix. That means what is said on the dev board stays on the dev board. You also have to be available all the time for testing and giving input. I know that sounds daunting, but it is not really. You will be required to test changes in the game as they are made and give feedback on what you see, good or bad. Also just what you feel is maybe not right with the Axis side as it is at the moment. So if you are interested please PM me.

As a follow up to this, I have had some clarification from Matrix. As you are not directly involved with game development, just play testing, you do not need to sign an NDA.

Please somebody(Axis) step up.

I really appreciate your efforts for the resurrection project of this great game.
There are some very dedicated Axis players around but they left the scene when Hard Sarge stopped the development of the game.
I also just tripped over the forum.
Maybe a shout out for the owners / buyers of the game in your database would help? I`m pretty sure it would.

Best regards and good luck

What ever happened to HARD Sarge? I had several interactions with him regarding his excellent development of this game, and then he seemed to drop off the face of the earth. I always worry when that happens to a regular.

Did not know that. Was wondering where he went. We used to have some really good fights and discussions over Eagle Day. Played the RAF against him. Will say he was really really good at feints and strategy, kept me on my toes. Sorry to hear about that. Was a really dedicated to this game.

I thought I would offer a few comments on playing the Germans in BTR with the latest patch. These are my personal opinions and not a criticism of the game in any way. I realize it may be difficult to get individuals to play the German side, so I am trying to help where I can.
1. The Allies attack and attack often in less than optimal conditions. They seem to attack irrespective of the weather.
2. The computer Allies gets damage to German industry even when bombing in very suboptimal conditions. I suppose this might be a cheat to help the computer and make the game more challenging.
3. The computer Allies does a reasonable job of providing fighter support, but does not seem to consider losses when planning raids. In BTR 43, it will send too many long distance raids - in my opinion. It will perform deep penetration raids to almost half way to Berlin in the first week of the game. These targets are usually aircraft or related targets. These targets are reasonable, but fighter cover is not possible this early in the game. This leads to huge losses to the Allies.
4. The computer does a decent job on attacking radar installations and airfield bombing raids. This causes reasonable losses to German aircraft on the ground.
5. On a number of occasions, I have seen a raid sit over a German airbase in daylight and pick off planes trying to land. This leads to large losses to landing aircraft. I have no knowledge of how often this was successful in real life, but to be successful in daylight seems to me to be a bit unrealistic.

I hope my observations are of some value to those working on the game.

re 5) may there be a night routine accidentally active for day missions? Plus those a/c should have been cannon fodder for the airfields AA guns
