"You are not allowed to post links, emails or phone numbers for 7 days from the date of your tenth post." I am trying to report a problem with a new installation not finding the VC++ 2010 redistributable dll and this error comes up each time. There aren't any links etc in it, but I have copied the text from the 'how to report' post. Is that giving a false positive? New installation of GaW:B1941, updated via the 1.08 patch. Starting the menu goes OK, but trying to start the program gives missing file errors. > 1.State your configuration with: > OS, amount of RAM, CPU, graphics card and most important the version of the game you are playing with. 64-bit Windows 10 Oct/Nov 2019, 6GiB, AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 1.08. (This was giving that error when bit length was after the date!) > 2. Make a Screenshot: n/a > 3. Recheck and post the chain of actions > The most important thing above all is to have a chain of actions that would reproduce the bug. > So if you can state do A, B and then C and it happens over again, thats usually the beginning of the end of an error. Install original version. As part of the install, it checks for (and looks like it installs) DirectX 9.0c and VC++ 2010 runtime. Install update. Run game. Splash screen ('autorun.exe'?!?) works once given permission to change things (?!?) but clicking 'Play game' gives "The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem" error. It doesn't. Both the x64 and x86 versions of the Visual C++ 2010 redistributable are shown as installed by Settings / Apps & features menu. > 4. Locate your log folder > The game writes information in several logs. They are usually to be found in: > C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Germany at War No Germany at War directory or file in c:\users\me\appData\local > 5. Prepare a save game n/a
