ORIGINAL: ringoblood AGREED, Not a fanboy or a fan of the new edition either, why did they have to change it, WHY!!!!, WHAT WAS WRONG WITH 3.0 or even 3.5, Wizard of the Coast you destroyed Dungeon and Dragons with you Greed, it didn't need fixing or Changing just added content END OF RANT WotC risked to damage the brand on a "Disney Star Wars"-level with the 4th Edition (the "It is not World of Warcraft on the tabletop! Really! True, we have Tanks, Healers, Battlefield Controllers and stuff, but we are not aping the WoW crowd! Honest!" one). 5th Edition, I'm told, is among the most successful ever. Better yet, it returned to the D&D roots: a fantasy role-playing game. Personally, my two favourite editions are the original Red/Blue/Green/Black/Gold box (and its wonderful setting: Mystara) now collected in the "Rules Cyclopedia"; and 3.5E (refined with some improvements taken from Pathfinder). I know that 3.5E is not loved by everybody, but it A) is D&D and B) we had years of fun with it.
