I've notice that virtually all aircraft use "Aviation Fuel". That's not quite correct- case in point the SR-71 which used JP-7, which is not really compatible with other aircraft. That is why it needed its own tanker versions, the KC-135Q and T. However, in the game, it appears that the SR-71 can refuel from ANY boom tanker and the KC-135Q can service ANY boom-capable aircraft.

I think it would be cool to add the restriction, either as fuel type or have a new refuelling type property like "JP-7 Boom Refuelling".

First of all I would to thank you for some recent additions of new Iranian SAMs

I've noticed that some data need a little correction though.

For example Sayaad-2 missile used by Talash, has now 120 nm range. The exact range is unknown, but it is classified by Iran as a medium range SAM. Most of analyses say that the Sayyad-2 has something like 75 - 80 km range.

quote:

In 2013, Iran unveiled the Sayyad-2 (“Hunter”), which is visibly evolved from the SM-1, and very fast with a maximum speed of Mach 4.5 and range of forty-six miles. It can be fired from the truck-mobile Talaash (“Endeavour”) and Khordad-15 air defense systems, which can engage six targets simultaneously.

Quote is from:
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/americas-stealth-weapons-can-iran-shoot-down-b-2-or-f-35-111376

Here are specs of Khordad-15 system using Sayyad-2 missile, it says engagement range is 75km:
https://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/iran/15th-khordad-specs.htm

If there is a need Talash can use also newer Sayyad-3 missiles with longer range reaching 120-150km. I believe this variant is called Talash-3. It might be added separately from the current 2015 variant.
https://warisboring.com/47047-2/
https://defense-update.com/20161229_sayyad-3.html
https://en.irna.ir/news/83134202/Range-of-Iran-s-Sayyad-3-missiles-to-increase
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sayyad-2#Sayyad-3

The last thigns are radars. Now Talash uses old radars from S-75. It seems that in real life it uses Kavosh and Ofogh fire control radar. I know there is no data for them, but I was able to find that we already have Kavosh in the game. It's a PAR radar from Iranian I-Hawk "Mersad upgrade". So if it is possible, please change Talash to use it, as it would make much more sense. Also according to some sources new variant of Talash can use Hafez 3D and Meraj-4 radars. I guess we already have Hafez, same as before, with Iranian I-Hawk "Mersad upgrade", so might be added to Talsh as well.

If you would like to add Meraj-4 radar in the future, in this article you can find very detailed specification (which is quite unusual to get for Iranian radars):
https://irangeomil.blogspot.com/2019/08/irans-bavar-373-profile.html

Other sources for Talash radars usage:
https://twitter.com/maysam21901/status/1059414218120880129
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talaash_air_defense_system

And explanation that Kavosh is also called PAR radar
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mersad#Radars

EDIT:

Also Talash should not use launch rails but TELs with 2-4 missiles per each.

New AGM-158D ER (JASSM XR, 1000 nm range)

quote:

#USAF's FY21 BR refers to both AGM-158B(Extended Range) & AGM-158D(Extreme Range) as JASSM-ER. AGM-158D was called JASSM-D & before that JASSM-XR (for "extreme range"). For AGM-158D, the "ER" therefore likey = "extreme range," but, as with AGM-158B, could also = "extended range."

The #USAF's FY21 RDT&E data is now available. It seems that, like the AGM-158B, the AGM-158D will also be called JASSM "Extended Range."

Also, the AGM-158D will recieve a new data-link for post-launch re-targeting. This is a very important new capability.

https://twitter.com/GuyPlopsky/status/1227098535008468992

quote:

In September 2018, Lockheed Martin was awarded a contract to develop an "Extreme Range" variant of the AGM-158. The weapon would weigh about 5,000 lb (2,300 kg) and deliver a 2,000 lb (910 kg) warhead out to a range of 1,000 nmi (1,900 km; 1,200 mi); it is planned to be ready by 2023.

More info about JASSM XR:

USAF to Start Buying ‘Extreme Range’ JASSMs in 2021

https://www.airforcemag.com/usaf-to-start-buying-extreme-range-jassms-in-2021/

The upgrade includes a missile control unit, changes to the wings, a different paint coating, an Electronic Safe and Arm Fuze, a secure GPS receiver, and program protection requirements, according to the Air Force. All of these upgrades make the unit cost of the AGM-158D approximately $1.5 million, up from the $1.04 million cost of an AGM-158B JASSM-ER. The B variant has a range of about 500 nautical miles, while the D reportedly extends up to 1,000 nautical miles.

Lockheed will deliver five per month starting in January 2024, and the service plans to integrate the missiles with the B-1B.

And the following Ship for Canada - Thanks

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Asterix#Royal_Canadian_Navy_service

Thanks for adding the type 26 to Canada! If you have some spare time ( Lol !). Would you be able to change a few of the systems to make it a bit closer to the proposed Canadian ship ?

Radar - AN/SPY-7
Combat Management - CMS 330 (cs) ( Can use from Halifax class)
Early warning - CANEWS (Halifax)
Sonar -UK Type 2150 towed ("This sonar is the third-generation hull-mount sonar for Ultra, and draws on the capabilities developed for the Royal Navy Type 45 and the Royal Australian Navy Hobart-class destroyers, and the S2170 UK Surface Ship Torpedo Defence (SSTD) system.")
EW suite - MDA (or use from Halifax)
VLS - 32 cell MK 41- quad pack latest ESSM mk 25 launcher (Similar used on Halifax class) (Doubt Canada will buy Tomahawk)
3 cell CAMM - 24 missiles as per later post by 14yellow14
2 quad NSM missiles as per later post by 14yellow14
Decoys - Mass Irvin - GQDLF-38, floating decoy
Torpedoes - MK 54
Beartrap - helicopter securing system ( Same as Halifax class)
6 boats / UUV - RHIIB or other.
Ability to carry some troops. Crew=118, accommodation=157 so maybe 4 squads ish.

Everything else could stay the same as currently there.

About the Canadian Type 26, This is the most recent model and there are some changes:

Some (more) thoughts about the #Canadian Type 26 class frigate: (1/2)
1. Helicopter approach radar is missing in the new model?
2. Two less DLs.
3. Two less EO-sensors. SATCOM instead.
4. NSM instead of Harpoon.
5. Two ExLS 3-cell launchers for 24 CAMM.
6. SeaRAM CIWS missing.
7. non-rotated IFF.
8. R-ESM/C-ESM
9. Unknown ECM (jammers)

Hope this helps :)

Could you add another Type-26 frigate for Australia?

It is interesting to compare Canadian Surface Combatant [Type-26].

Here is Australian Hunter-Class frigate [Type 26 for Australia]

Here's fact from Department of Defence (Australia).

https://www.defence.gov.au/casg/Multimedia/Hunter_Class_FFG_Fact_Sheet-9-9243.pdf

This is original UK Type-26 VLS Cells.

quote:

the ships also have 24 Mk.41 Vertical Launch System (VLS) cells for other weapons

It can apply additional available eight VLS-cells more than UK Type-26 class.(Above Infographic shows 32 VLS Cells)

quote:

Other topside changes to the basic design will include removal of the forward Sea Ceptor silo and an increase in the number of Mk.41 VLS cells from 24 to 32, which will accommodate the Raytheon RIM-162 Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile (ESSM) and Standard Missile 2 (SM-2) weapons currently used by the RAN and its US ally.

That being said, I did a little research about Type-31 frigate is known as well as to cheaper option for Type-26 GCS.

It's more useful low intensity warfare scenario.

This photographic images are made by Babcock.

Displacement : 5,700 tons (Full load : 6,300 ~ 6,600 tons)
Length : 138.7 m
Propulsion : CODAD
Speed : 28+ knots
Endurance : 9000 nm
Complement : 100~160

Radar & Armament : See below images
Aircraft carried : 1 X Wildcat or Merlin

Here's detailed information for Type-31.

Can we upgrade the sonar signature and sonar performance of the block v version of the Virginia Class SSN.

https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/new-block-v-virginia-class-attack-submarine-making-navy-even-deadlier-105212

Also can you make the Aim 152 H/R

Hypothetical used on the NATF and Super Tomcat 21 CEC capable as it was supposed to be our most advanced AAM.

Also would be great if you could give the NATF some of the upgrades given to the Raptor as far as loadouts go. Maybe even throwing in NSM or JSM loadouts.

https://www.defenseindustrydaily.com/norwegian-contract-launches-nsm-missile-03417/

May want to include some f-35C/ F-35B loadouts in future 2023+ varients as well

All variants of the SR-71 are able to refuel from aircraft other than the #1320 KC-135Q. This is incorrect because only the KC-135Q carries the fuel that the SR-71 can use (JP-7), all other aircraft carry standard aviation fuel which cannot be run properly in the Pratt and Whitney J58 engines on the aircraft.

Furthermore any aircraft with boom refueling capabilities can refuel from the KC-135Q, which is also incorrect because JP-7 was specifically developed for use in extremely high performance aircraft like the SR-71 and the X-51 Waverider and cannot be run properly in standard engines (hence why the KC-135Q exists as unlike all other KC-135 variants it has two separate fuel tanks separating its own fuel from the payload of JP-7.)

Sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pratt_%26_Whitney_J58 , https://www.thesr71blackbird.com/Aircraft/JP-7-Fuel , https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmXoypizjW3WknFiJnKLwHCnL72vedxjQkDDP1mXWo6uco/wiki/JP-7.html , and https://www.quora.com/What-makes-JP-7-Aviation-fuel-so-special-that-only-SR-71-blackbird-can-use-it ,

Yep, it's been discussed before but your idea of a unique property seems like it could work well. In addition to your idea of a unique fuel property for the receiving aircraft (so it can't refuel off of just any refueling craft), maybe also have one for the KC-135Q so it can't also refuel anyone else.

I know its there I would like them to add the modifier that it is CEC capable. (Able to fire with E2D having a radar track on target)

I'm not sure what you are asking. DB3000 Facility_691 is a Greek Baseline I-Hawk, hence the photo and description of an I-Hawk being included in the file (see attached image). Ditto DB3000 Facility_686. What is the problem that you see with these files?

#2783 Sea Ceptor CAMM(M)

SEA CEPTOR #2783 Sea Ceptor CAMM(M)

https://www.forces.net/news/what-can-royal-navys-new-sea-ceptor-missiles-do
https://www.savetheroyalnavy.org/from-sea-wolf-to-sea-ceptor-the-royal-navys-defensive-shield/

As a significant weapon system on new Type 26/31 and retrofitted Type 23 UK RN vessels plus Brazilian and RNZN exports:Please consider

1. Making #2783 Sea Ceptor CAMM(M) faster circa 2000kts. Majority of sources are crediting it with circa Mach 3 performance.
Currently it is incapable of engaging P-800 class supersonic missiles due to a max engagement speed of 1350kts versus the Strobile's 1600kts.
This is unlikely given the time frame, generation of missile and design criteria.
It was designed when the Strobile and similar types were a known quantity and a principle threat, so it should be capable of defending against it.

2. Capable of hitting surface targets. There are numerous and credible reports from several sources including the manufacturer of it being capable of attacking surface targets including small swarming attacks from Jet Ski style threats.

3. As a lesser issue in Royal Navy parlance it is GWS.35 so could you also consider a name change to #2783 CAMM(M)[Sea Ceptor GWS.35]

Thanks for consideration as ever.

K

Can you consider adding the M901 ITV (Improved TOW Vehicle)

M901: Original production model, an M113A2-based vehicle, with the SEI 901 TUA launcher.

M901A1: M113A2-based vehicle, with the SEI 901A1 TUA launcher.

M901A2: Unused designation.

M901A3: M113A3-based vehicle, with the SEI 901A1 TUA launcher.

The M901 ITV (Improved TOW Vehicle) is a tank destroyer utilizing the BGM-71 TOW anti-tank missile. When the original M901 ITV was fielded, it employed an M113A1 chassis. Few M901s were built, as production quickly switched over to the M113A2 in 1979; fitting the TOW Under Armor (TUA) launcher to this chassis resulted in the M901A1. When the M113A3 replaced the M113A2 in production, the M901A1 was in turn replaced in production by the M901A3. Nicknamed the "Hammerhead", the SEI 901 TUA (TOW Under Armor) launcher slews 360 degrees in 10 seconds, elevates to +34 degrees, and depresses to -30 degrees. Donald,

Yes. Sadly, copy and paste do not work there but this works:,

1. Open a blank Word, Wordpad, Notepad or similar type text manipulator.
2. Select what you want to copy in the viewer by holding down the left mouse button and dragging it over the area you want - it can be up to the whole page.
3. Hold down the left mouse button and drag all the selected items (they should be highlighted in blue)over to the open text page.

Alternatively, you can do a screenshot of the viewer information and it will be saved as a JPEG file. The only disadvantage is that you cannot as easily annotate the JPEG.

Hope this helps,

-Wayne

Possible addition to the 3K DB on the Algerian Erradii class:

Iaw Navalanalyses they don't have a Scout LPI radar but 2 I-band & 1 E/F-band Sperry Marine VisoinMasters.
Instead of the Shrike Elint but Indra Rigel R-ES / R-EP / R-EA
Instead of the Kingklip sonar the Atlas Elektronik ASO 723 type
Is on other Meko-200's
https://www.thalesgroup.com/en/worldwide/defence/kingklip-hull-mounted-sonar
A laser warner, possible SAAB NLWS
Unknown C-ESM
Cannot find the RTS-6400 and the Compass.
Did not find a generic larser range finder additional to the EOS-500
Lots of communications (prob other cryto)
It looks the passive sonar in a possibility for upgrade.

https://www.janes.com/article/94567/first-batch-of-f21-torpedoes-delivered-to-brazil-and-france

In service dates for first F21 torpedo.
NOV 2019. Not 2017.

Per Janes
Naval Group delivered a first batch of six F21 torpedoes to the French Navy in November 2019. Source: Naval Group

Naval Group has delivered a first batch of F21 heavyweight torpedoes to the Brazilian and French navies.

Announcing the deliveries during a press conference in Paris on 21 February, Naval Group said a first batch of six torpedoes was handed over to the French Navy in November 2019, in addition to an undisclosed number to the Brazilian Navy.

The F21 heavyweight torpedo is being developed by Naval Group for the Direction Générale de l'Armement (DGA) under the auspices of the Artémis programme, which was launched in 2008. It will replace the F17 Mod 2 heavyweight torpedo that equips the French Navy's current inventory of submarines. The system will also be operated by the Brazilian Navy on its new Scorpène-class diesel-electric submarines.

Naval Group has been contracted to deliver 93 F21 torpedoes to the French Navy.

The F21 has an overall length of 6 m and weighs 1,320 kg. The propulsion system is powered by a silver oxide-aluminium primary battery enabling a maximum speed of more than 50 kt over a maximum range in excess of 50 km.

Initial sea trials with a prototype were carried out in the Mediterranean in the first quarter of 2013. From 2013-14, about 10 test launches were conducted, after which launches were interrupted for a time.

Launches resumed in 2017. In June that year the F21 completed a successful qualification in the Mediterranean, and in May 2018 Naval Group announced that it had been launched from a nuclear-powered attack submarine (SSN) at DGA's underwater test range off the south coast of France. According to Naval Group, the F21 used for this trial was identical to those under production for the French Navy.

A launch from France's first Barracuda SSN, Suffren , is expected to take place in 2020, Naval Group officials told Jane's .

Turkish Anka-B drone lacks combat loadouts. Should have ability to carry 4 MAM-L guided bombs

With an increased payload capacity, the ANKA-B SIHA can carry 2 UMTAS-L ATGMs, 4 CIRIT missiles, 4 MAM-L or 8 MAM-C missiles in a single sortie.

Hello, here are some suggestions for improvement regarding Chinese HQ-9 families. The current DB3K entries regarding them are very problematic.

The major source of information I used is Ref.[1] and [2]. Considering Ref.[1] from MDAA(Missile Defense Advocacy Alliance) and Ref.[2] comes from US TRADOC (US Army Training and Doctrine Command), these sources should be pretty reliable.

1. Name Update
It should be pointed out that both in Ref.[1] and [2] the naval variants are treated as separate variants. However, as separating existing HQ-9A and HQ-9B DB3K entries with their ship-borne counterpart might broke many scenarios where many Chinese units carrying them, a name update is proposed instead.
-【#1225-HQ-9A】suggested rename to: “HQ-9A/HHQ-9A”, as according to ref.[1] and [2], “HQ-9A” refers to the ground-based variant of the missile, while ship-borne variants on Type 052C is referred to “HHQ-9A” separately.
-【#2690-HQ-9B】suggested rename to:”HQ-9B/HHQ-9B”. Also, as the ground-based version of HQ-9B has been in parade on Oct.1st,2019, this entry shall no longer been considered as exclusive to be “naval”

2. Data Correction
- Currently Both 【#1225-HQ-9A】and 【#2690-HQ-9B】has a maximum anti-air range of 80nm in DB3K. This is significantly (20~50%) lower than the reported value from Ref.[1] and [2]. According to Ref [1] and [2] 【#1225-HQ-9A】 shall have a maximum range of 200km (107nm). For 【#2690-HQ-9B】 Ref.[2] suggest it has a further improved range to a maximum of 300km(162nm).
- Currently【#2690-HQ-9B】has a target max altitude of 80000ft AGL in DB3K, while Ref.[2] suggested it could engage targets at 30000m (98425ft).
- An important issue regarding the missile family is whether it incorporated Active Radar Homing terminal guidance. The listed reference point to a positive answer, however considering this is in constant debate and often has self-contradictory reports, I put it in Section 4.

3. Suggested Additional Variants to Introduce - Realistic
-According to Ref. [1] and [2] HQ-9 family has an anti-radiation variant named 【FT-2000】, according to Ref.[2] it has a reduced maximum range of 100km (54nm).
- According to Ref. [1] and [2] there is an export version of HQ-9, named【FD-2000】.

4.Suggested Additional Variants to Introduce - Hypothetical
Again, the hypothetical part is generally about whether the missile has an Active Radar Homing (ARH) terminal guidance. As this has been a controversial issue (even for sources quite reliable) I put it in hypothetical part, but it would be better if a direct modification is done on current entries.
-According to Ref.[1]【#2690-HQ-9B】are incorporated with Active Radar Homing(ARH) guidance, in addition to its current SARH/IR dual seeker. An hypothetical version of 【#2690-HQ-9B】 with ARH + SARH/IR as a new DB3K entry is hence purposed, if a direct modification to current entry not possible.
-Ref.[2] gave out self-contradictory statement on guidance of 【#1225-HQ-9A】, as in “Guidance” section it claims “inertial+ radio mid-course correction+ TVM terminal”, while in “Range Finder” section it claims the missile has “inertial + Active Radar Homing terminal”. Ref.[3] and [4] also describe HQ-9 family to have an ARH terminal. Similarly, we propose adding a hypothetical version of 【#1225-HQ-9A】using “inertial+ radio mid-course correction+ ARH terminal” ,if a direct modification to current entry not possible.
- Ref.[1] and [2] described a hypothetical variant named 【HQ-9C】 with Full Active Radar Homing.

Is this suggestion taken into consideration? If it's not I would like to mention it again...

Also, can the RCS value of J-20 and J-31 be changed back to values as they are in the older version of DB3000? (i.e. v477)
The current RCS value of J-20 and J-31 is "horribly" high. I got some evidence to show, but I am not allowed to post links...
