just a short clip of F-35B flight operations on board the LHA-6 USS America.

I wonder why that steam(?) is coming out of the deck during take-off around the 1:52 mark.

ops may be wrong on that.

Just the down blast from the engine on the tie down rings on the deck. STOL take off. Wet deck.

IDK but it did buy McDonnell Douglas. But then the culture of Boeing changed.
