ORIGINAL: Kuokkanen Phoenix Point: Year One Edition for half the price. Game looks like it's made on XCOM: Enemy Unknown engine, but is packing more features. Soldiers have inventory, there are equipment around the maps to be picked up, and soldiers can even exchange their stuff. Projectiles are modeled realistically, so instead of hitting the target, bullet may hit the cover instead and damage/break it. Or hit an enemy behind the target, or friendly too near the line of fire. Weapons can be aimed at body parts or even at the weapon held by the target. This game has many excellent points of Jagged Alliance 2, UFO: Enemy Unknown & sequels & derivatives etc. All in modern package with elegant interface. I just wish camera controls were better and game would have larger variety of equipment at the start. Bottom line: This game stands proudly on shoulders of the giants! I rather keep playing it than return to Xenonauts or get started with OpenXcom. You got me at made on XCOM: Enemy Unknown and then i saw the system requirements. It will be a cold day in hell before i get a new PC, it will take a lot for sure. Firstly, i´m NOT going to pay Microsoft for a second copy of Windows 10, yes, there´s workarounds to that as well but not going to become exhausted over games now. Looks rather good though, perhaps. Installed Crusader Kings II for free through Steam. I fear only that it will end up with me feeling for this like i did for Europa Universalis 4. The combat system in that one was horrible. I like it so far into it but that´s just after scratching on the surface of it. I got married really fast with some chick i thought was suitable, it´s that easy huh? OK this is just a game, now waiting for a child to plop out as well, i chose a male one as the preference how the heck they back then could control such a thing beats me but so be it. If i get around to it i give a better opinion about it later for what it´s worth.
