Ok, everyone knows the inter-webby thing was really invented so we could share cat pictures. I've noticed that this board has a serious deficit in that respect.

So to get it started here's a picture of our 2 ex-feral rescued kittens that we have been trying to socialise for the last 2 months. Since we got them they've had monumental stomach problems, cat flu and so on. We still can't start their standard immunisation due to this but they are settling well.

And our remaining 14 year old tom is delighted (he really is) with his new playmates;

Great Thread!

I have two cats, Millie and Squeaky.

Millie is short for Amelia Earhart, Millie got that name cause when she was a kitten she was an daring explorer, she has little fear and since she is part Maine Coon she has the gentle giant aspect to her. She will be four this year. We also call her Miracle Millie.

Three years ago she got deathly sick and when we took her to the emergency clinic they told us "Sorry, nothing we can do, make her comfortable and good luck." We did not accept that response and took her up to Michigan and found out she had a rare unknown blood disease where she could not produce white (I think) blood cells). So that summer she got 2 blood transfusions and that fall another one, the following year another two, last year she got her last one and we and the vets think her poor body could not take anymore. Then the miracle happened, I know it may sound funny but my wife and are praying folks, and we pray for a lot of people, well we prayed God's will for Millie and when she first got sick her blood count thing was 3.5% they were amazed she was still living and breathing. Normally it's supposed to be 45%. While all the transfusions were going on it raised up to 14-21%. Last year it got as high as 31% and she got to get off some of her meds and then she crashed down to 11%. She got the blood transfusion and back on the some of the meds and slowly raised up to the low 20s. Then the miracle happen last fall. Her monthly blood transfusion stabilized at 42%! She is a miracle cat.

Squeaky is her exact opposite, she is a talker (hence her name, lol) and she is also very, very nervous. But she is a bird catcher, which really bothers my wife (and to me to a lesser extent, she is just following her instincts). She is smart, sneaky and squeaky and quite the outdoors cat hunter.

Hope you enjoy these, you an probably guess there names by the pics and my short description.

Laundry soft and fluffy...

Why you poop in here?

Caught Nappin...

Breath the fresh spring air...

Papa's shoes and my box...

I am a queen for the day...

Can I help papa?

ahem

the bit I missed in the biography is every 3 weeks the house is full of the sounds of enthusiastic cat sex. Rosa, the wee ginger queen, hasn't been neutered yet (again the other health issues), both Toms are neutered. But the older one had this done after he'd become sexually active (we were offered his kittens when we picked up him and the other older pair) and it seems they don't forget.

so much to our surprise, come the day, come the bonking, very noisy and it lasted for some time (impressive in a way as he is at least 14).

My buddies T-ger and Rascal. I had to put T-ger to sleep in 2012 at the age of 18 due to renal failure. Rascal was a stray who was hanging around my yard, supervising my yard work and eventually adopting me!

At least they can have fun and you are not inundated with kittens!

Here is a video of a young girl who comes home, goes to her room and wonders who turn on her light. She then starts crying . . .

This is Tatty, chilling on the patio. He was a rescue, apparently the only survivor of a litter of five kittens tied up in a bag and dumped on a forest service road. He has some health issues and is not well socialized with other people or cats but with the Frau and I he is affectionate, talkative and rather clingy at times. He runs the house (when SWMBO is absent) and I am his Chief of Staff.

had them from a few days old, not even eyes open, found in a thrown out settee on the street, 2 alive which GF called before we knew the sex's etc starsky and hutch, and another one who was already dead, i'd guess from no mum around etc.

tips any milk is ok, as long as you microwave it, as that kills any bugs and doesn't make them sick etc, and mostly all kittens are ok with warm milk, we only had semi skimmed but did the job, just fed them every 2 hours for a few weeks until they wanted some solid food, around a month maybe old, again only got cat food not kitten, so mushed it up and they eat it, as we told kitten food only has smaller pieces anyway and more goodness, then again we gave them cooked chicken and tuna as well, so they don't seemed to have any issues from it
