When people click on the button to alert a mod, all I get is a blank e-mail that doesn't tell me anything about the thread. I got one of those earlier today. If someone has a complaint, please PM me or send an e-mail through the contact interface and I'll deal with it.

Maybe. What does that arrow in the bottom right hand corner of a post do? I clicked it yesterday to find out but nothing happened. Nothing I noticed anyway. If that is what has alerted you then please pardon my ignorance.

If I have a problem with a moderator, I will contact them but I may not be that polite.

If I have a questionable link in that there may be a problem with it violating certain standards, I will send it to a moderator with my concerns.

The coronavirus thread is being moderated, but gently - relying on members to guide each other on what should not be posted. Most of the time that works.

One of the moderators posts/posted things there just like everybody else. Very informative things too.

I see the banter hasn't changed much.

The good and the bad news is I'm still working through the pandemic. I've worked at home for years, so nothings really changed.

It also appears I got COVID-19 early. I had a weird asthma like thing for the second half of February, felt a bit feverish when I got up on the 27th, slept most of the day and I was fine. My SO got the same thing the next day and it lasted about 4 days for her. We're in line to get the antibody test once it becomes available, though our doctor thinks we probably had it.

I wonder how many forumites have clicked on that arrow in the bottom right hand corner of a post after reading this...

I'm not sure what button generates the message, but so far nobody has clicked it in the last 24 hours.

To the left of that mysterious arrow is the post count of the thread and to the left of that a "Report" button.

Spoiler: The arrow actually just makes the page jump to the original post on top of the page.

Yes I agree Bill....and thanks for thinking of others by getting tested for antibodies, that's very thoughtful. Hal

The hypertext word "Report" to the left of that button is what sends a message to the Moderator, but it does not give you a chance to explain what you want and it does not even tell the mod what post you are reporting. Best to PM the Mod.
