I have head scratcher of a problem. My small carrier, Zuiho, has an aircraft capacity of 30 planes.
I have 2 squadrons with 30 planes total max. Actual planes 27 onboard. My ships data says I have 57 planes onboard, badly
overloaded. I have tried sending the planes to a land base for a few turns then put them back on the ship and the overloaded warning comes back.
Anybody else have this issue?

Yes, one of the types of planes is not a carrier type. When an aircraft carrier carries planes that are not carrier type, each plane counts as 4 planes for the stacking limit. You can use the carriers as aircraft ferries, sending the non-carrier planes to a base but you can't use them for combat operations on an aircraft carrier.

Lee, you probably loaded a model that isn't capable of flight ops. IE, you can load them for transport to another port and unload them there, but they can't fly and land on deck.

The same problem occurs with the first US Corsair model. Load it on a carrier and it's overloaded.

So if you unload the problem squadron and reload with suitable aircraft like a Zero or Val or Kate, your problem will be solved.

Yup, you probably use first A6M3 model. That one is NOT Carrier Capable.

You have to wait until A6M3a shows up.

If the carrier is not in port, you might be able to fly off the non-carrier squadron to a land base. The reason it takes 4X the space is the deck space that must be left clear for them to take off.

A6M3 (type 32) didn't have folding wings. A6M3 (type 22) [A6M3a in WitP] did have folding wings.

For you Allied players, the first model of Corsair is not carrier capable.
