Installation is real easy, just copy all the png files you wish to use in the campaign directory (for example: C:\Users\*your user*\Documents\My Games\WarPlan\Campaigns\Europe 1939).
For the counters you also copy the png file of your choice in there, but you also rename that file to: units.png.

That is it.

Nice mod! You really should edit your first post with the installation instructions.

Nice map, Panzer Mike. The eastern front looks so much closer to what you always see in military history books. Moscow is actually a rail nexus now! and with a direct connection with Smolensk.

Exactly. My map is based on many historical sources. Of course given the scale choices have to made to include/exclude things, but the map looks decidedly more historical IMHO.

I have installed your Panzer Mod 6 map and Panzer Mod 6 vanilla nato units. There are three more options but I don't know what they look like? What is the option pictured in your The battle for Turkey is on? Would you be able to post screenshots of the other three? Thanks.

You can view png files in Windows using pretty much any viewer. You can even open them using Paint to have a look.

Would you consider yet a third figure for naval?! Triangle? Rectangle? Kite? Flattened pyramid? Rhomboid.
Bright blue border?

And how's about some special appearance for German SS units.

I tried different shapes, but apart from variants with round aircraft I was not really satisfied with the results.

As for SS, Warplan has none. I did make variants with black counters for armor.

BTW I very much like the "beach" hexes being indicated by sand!

That would be great, but is it possible?

At least showing the beach hexes, if not the new settlement locations (unless they're just labels?)

No sweat, the graphics are compatible with the stock map as well.

That would be great! Currently I'm actually really enjoying the combination of your map (v6), but with the Packed WP NATOs_v3.1 – Counter Mod and otherwise want to stay with the vanilla game for now, until I've properly got to grips with it at least.

Here ya go:
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=4796184

The png files with the beaches are in there too. You can grab them and copy them over the existing ones in the vanilla Europe 1939 directory if you like.

Or you can play the scenario of course; if you know how to play the vanilla 1939 scenario, you can play this one too, no problem.

Thanks, the full Mod looks great from what I've read of the doc, my only concern would be getting too used to it in solo play to play PBEM (unless others wanted to use it for PBEM, obviously!)

BTW is the file that contains the beach graphics terrain.png?

Just copy all the png files and replace the existing ones. Changes with version 6 are small. Mainly small corrections.

Try an Axis vs AI game. You will see that it will play much like vanilla.

PanzerMike - when I view the map when playing the full mod, there's a weird light blue triangle on the east of every hex, which really mucks up the display of the map, what could I be doing wrong? I followed the install instructions - see attached screenshot. I don't get this with the normal v6 map.

Not seeing it on my end. This is what my directory looks like:

My directory contents look the same, everything else displays fine apart from the weird graphic glitch I showed. My display is 2K (2560 x 1440), but it hasn't had any problems with your previous maps.

BTW I tried deleting the Mod, re-downloading it and installing it again, but same problem. I have no idea what could be wrong :-(

I think it is the weather.png that is acting weird on your end. Rename weather.png to _weather.png and restart Warplan. The game will now default to the stock weather graphics.

Yes, it's the weather.png, the map looks normal when I rename or if I use the weather.png from your v6 Map Mod (I also tried the latter in winter and it displays snow etc. fine). Should I just use the latter for now?

Yes, use the version 6 weather.png for now.

It is identical to the Scorched Earth one, with one exception: the cold rain graphic was added. This is new in the 1.07 beta. Scorched Earth is prepared for it. In fact I played it with the latest beta and it works fine.

Okay will do, hope there's longer term solution!
