Some observations to fix or change in current versions or the new version.

1. I have tried on multiple occasions to adjust the opportunity fire ranges on units but it never works. I've also had sections greyed out when I clearly have those units available. Does the menu only work for a single unit or is it for the whole organization?
2. My disrupted units can never move closer to an enemy unit but the AI completely ignores that same limitation. I've watched the AI's disrupted units move closer to enemy units (clearly in LOS and clearly a closer move or several closer moves) which is frustrating to get overwhelmed by units that shouldn't be able to move closer.
3. My aircraft attacks always attack trucks! The aircraft even drift off the intended target hex in a tank rick environment, I mean they are everywhere but the A?C always goes to a truck. One time there were 17 tank units within the 5 hex drift zone and only 1 truck unit (5 hexes away too) and you guessed it, the damn anti-tank plane attacked the only truck in the area.
4. Are tank disables factored by defense? (should not be as a disable is a track hit - not a tank kill) because I literally splashed T-34 tanks with 105 and 150 Art 328 instances and got nothing - the 5% disable odds said I should have gotten at least 15. Meanwhile, the AI splashed my tanks 72 times for 23 disables and several of those were from 82MM mortar attacks?! No way small mortars should knock a tank tread off due to high angles. For the next version, I believe disabled tanks should not count as lost. If you "win" the battle, your recovery crews would easily recover and repair immobilized tanks - they are not written off.
5. My AAA units have never shot at enemy aircraft even without ever moving and sitting high on a hill with great visibility.
6. Minefields are totally useless, usually easily seen and you can't move them in defense scenarios.
7. I can't see the AI units a good deal of the time, like the small AT guns (as the manual says) but also all the other types unless they move but the AI can see all my units no matter the range or concealment in woods, pill boxes, whatever.
8. The upgrade feature is really bad. The 37mm PAK gun was obsolete in 1939 and replaced by the 50mm PAK by November 41 and that replaced by the 75MM Pak by mid '42. I'm in June of '43 and the majority of my AT force is always 37mm PAK guns, really? I'm also still getting STG IIIB units when the primary Assault Gun was the STG IIIG even before Barbarosa. The STG IIIG was the most produced armor vehicle after the halftrack by Germany in the war. The ATR was removed from front line units as well but I'm still getting those. And the Russian ATR is way overpowered. Yes, it was a two man weapon and had a better punch but multiple kills of PZIV's at 2-3 hex range into frontal armor - no way.

Great feedback, thank you.

Much of that has been addressed in East Front III.

I know I already complained but since EF3 is not available yet?!
I have had three battalions of PZIV F2 tanks (that's 192 vehicles) since mid '42. It's now the end of '44 and I just got 1 Battalion upgraded to PZ V's.
Now to be clear, only 175 PZIV F2's were even produced PERIOD with 24 more upgraded from F1 models. I have more than the entire German production of this model tank for over two years totaling more than were ever made and let's be honest, I've lost probably 100 and replaced them.
I mention this so that EF3 does not suffer from the same ridiculous TOE's. You can't have more vehicles than were ever produced and considering the number of tank regiments on the East Front sharing equipment, seeing even a single Battalion of such an upgrade would be rare and even more difficult to get any replacements. One would get a different model.
I haven't seen any other equipment at all. I get the occasional company of Marder II's and I'm still getting Stg III'Bs (rarely IIIG models) and it's the end of '44.

So what is the status of EF3 and where can I see more information?

Thanks in advance.

I'd recommend following along what we are doing with the Campaign Series Vietnam (as that is our focus at the moment), you can find that forum here: Campaign Series Vietnam

This will reveal a lot of what you can expect for East Front III
