In the intelligence tab "i", I have negative air-to-air losses for the enemy for the day.

How is it possible that he has "-1" ? A Japanese pilot diserted?

More came back from the purgatory pool than were lost.

Or the Red Baron let Snoopy go because it was Christmas or something like that.

He protecc, he attac..but most importantly, he comes back!

The other day he went down on fire and was assumed shot down. But he landed, fixed the plane, and came back

Always carry a smoke grenade when you fly if you want to get out of a nasty combat with the enemy and not be shot for cowardice!

I think that’s it, crash landed on a beach then did a MacGyver with a paperclip to fly home.

Reminds me of the story of the aviator who landed his damaged plane at an airstrip during the Battle off Samar. The strip was under attack by Japanese infantry, so the pilot was promptly handed a Thompson as soon as he got out of his plane and joined the defense of the airfield, then along with the rest of the defenders, pursued the attacking Japanese into the jungle.

He emerged hours later with the rest of the impromptu combined force carrying a wing from a crashed plane of the same type they found in the jungle. They swapped the damaged wing out on his plane for the one they found in the jungle and he flew back to his carrier.
