Here's a funky idea. Since I assume land units don't consume supply while embarked at sea, you could conserve supply by loading up some units and have them float around on a pleasure cruise, freely catered courtesy of the Imperial Japanese/United States/Royal navy.

Not sure this has any practical utility, but there we are.

Neat, but needs fuel efficient xAP/xAKs for continous cruising.

Not if they're moored in port! (A shore excursion with on-board dining?)

I think you’re right, but as Divisions “only” use roughly 500 supply per month to feed them, doing this doesn’t look like it would be a game changer.

Yeah totally. Don't even think it's really useful at all. But possible

I’m picturing scenes like prison hulks on the Thames in the 1700s

Any half decent Allied player playing an opponent who indulges in this tactic should salivate at the prospect of having such an accommodating opponent.

It will also increase their disruption and fatigue. Plus, any engineers inherent in the unit are not working. Those things are good things from the enemy's perspective. "Defeat snatched from the Jaws of Victory!"

Meh, fatigue is not a problem, LCUs rest fast, but I wonder if they eventually become disabled because of high disruption?

I am also pretty sure, that LCUs loaded on ships doesn't increase their preparation towards target.

The malus associated with this poor idea is much greater than what has been identified to date in the thread.

I'm not going to bother much with these threads which are just about gaming the system and doing things which would never be done by a real military/political leader IRL.  Let the gamester learn from personal experience what are the ramifications.
