Possible but given that Admiral Nakhimov was supposed to be refitted by 2018-19 and that has slipped to 2020 and Pyotr Velikiy is in need of refit. I just don't believe she's ever going to sea again, or if she does (for show) I doubt she flys jets. Yeah, navy's sometimes repair vessels just so someone can't claim a Mission Kill, USN with the USS Ben Franklin for example, but since this appears self inflicted, I think she won't be seen to be worth the effort. IMHO, the Russian fleet has likely seen their last carrier, in favor of more submarines and Admiral Gorshkov-class like frigates. Honestly, if she wasn't a relic of the old Soviet Red Banner Fleet, would Russia really build her today? I know there are carrier models out there but building a model and building the real thing two very separate issues.

Now what might be interesting is if Russia contracted with the PRC to build one of their Type 003s! Sorry but personally I don't see the Sevmash, Shipyard 402 doing great things, because they just haven't delivered to date. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that count
