Has anyone encountered this situation where a neutral japan is used to help Germany spot in the Indian Ocean? Seems to be a method used often to help the Germans spot for allied shipping. The allies cant do anything about it, cos they are still at peace with Japan.

Should this be permitted? Seems very gamey to me.

Remember the movie Pearl Harbor with Ben Afflack? The Dentist was cleaning some dude's teeth, took a break, got on the phone to tell the Emperor. Sneaky Japs. Takes two to spot. Japs give away their ship position.

Also note: If Japs pass Cape of Good Hope (bottom of South Africa) into the Atlantic, the Yanks are alerted.

And you can do some reverse too, before PH, you can use the at that point neutral UK/other ships, to block the landing sites, making it much harder to do a clean land everywhere action, and any left out LVs are easy prey.

In my last versus game my Axis opponent had been doing that. When I told him that I felt it was gamey, he stopped.

I have never seen the AI do this, nor would it matter much if it did. As far as other players, I think there are a few things in game that require gentlemen's agreements. I might put Japanese scouts at the top of the list.

I don't see this as gamey. Plenty of examples of neutral countries spied for Axis/Allies during WWII.
