That's cute. You show up on stage a mere four years ago and think that us old timers 'trail' you in anything? Say 'hi' to Fodder, rustysi, anthropoid and the others on your way out please.

Just so you know, I was here long before 2010. I bought Austerlitz way before then. But I was repulsed by the kind of people in the forum...so I didn't register.

At a US military exposition, a US Army paratrooper sergeant was extolling the paratroopers and jumping. He said that he had made over 50 jumps. One old man piped up and said that he was a paratrooper in WWII. The sergeant asked him how many jumps that he had made. The old man replied: "Five. North Africa, Sicily, Salerno, Normandy, and Holland." That kind of put that sergeant in his place.

When my father took me to Lancashire he had to tell me off for blowing into my tea because it was too hot. He explained the correct thing was to pour it into the saucer and wave your flap cap over it before pouring it back in when cooled!

The reason why his elbows are on the table is that he is used to eating green corn. Or maize if you prefer that word.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

The words 'illegitemus' and 'est' are singular not plural. Carborundum is not a word known to the Romans

You should change your footer to 'Noli spurii (or nothi) permittere te terere'.

In Iran in the 80's (I don't know what they do now) you poured the tea from the cup into the saucer and then drank it from that. If you took sugar, you held the sugar lump in your mouth.

I am correct because I am quoting someone. If they got it into pig Latin, then . . .

There is a thread on the General forum for drinking tea.

The quote is accurate, but it is not an original quote, and to pass it on without critique is to increase the world's supply of ignorance which can never be the correct thing to do
