after a lone assault, you see my units becoming yellow or orange
each hex attacked is supported really heavily

rail line arrive in Korosten

we get contact with Narva
a bit north a regiment has been repulsed and bridge repaired

rail line is a bit rear but was not essential before
during my moves toward Kuressaare, i lost an infantry regiment to coastal Art

actually 1st Corp with 3 divisions is up north
96 Infantry (reinforcement) reach Ostrov by rail

bad news in great north (sector of Murmansk) where Russia isolated a division

i will fail a proficiency check after these attacks

orange arrows show retreat directions

SE of Gomel, a lone Stug unit will advance and then retreat after enemy attack

air war take is toll, 33 vs 159 fighters

as noted, 183 infantry arrived by rail

Kiev will be taken at high cost
Para brigade will disappear in the process

MG unit in north of Cherkassy will retreat
leaving a lone regiment guarding

we took the hex adjacent to Kherson

Sometime he tell me "no answering"; in these case I save and reload.

1st Panzer Army is on Rest and Refit (except 14th Panzer)

Time to recover in front of Kiev
capture gave me bonus of artillery

the regiment on guard near Cherkassy was shattered during our assault

first units are in contact along Dnieper bend

I needed bridge engineer to recover the unit that was isolated

it was not possible to continue pursuit in the hole created (no unit with defensive capability)

orange arrow indicate a backward move without fight

I had no possibility to capture Smolensk and Kherson
these were objectives for this beginning of turn.

no assault against Kiev, need to recover supply

Failing to take objectives drop my shock from 120 to 110

Here is junction between AGN and AGC

for the first time, Russian bombers take air sometime without escort
this explain air losses: 41 vs 523

as you can see, work is great about rail line
greater part of fights are bombardments

some attacks are made but support is too heavy
some AA units in the north cover ART too

during this turn, I made:
141 bombardment to lessen retrenchment
28 attacks and 5 airfield attacks
some bombers in AGS were not covered by fighters

air losses: 37 vs 400

Rumania and 46th Infantry crossed the river south of Berislav, facing 9th Corp
Nikopol has been captured

a lot of Militia and NKVD units arrived from nowhere

it's official 58 Infantry division is cut off. They will be destroyed on turn 24.
I could push a regiment but another one was behind.

7 Flieger division arrived by rail (blue unit visible)

after these attacks air war losses will be 57 vs 277 (real)

Kuressaare island is finally cleared.

you can see that artillery is parked behind Kiev

the attack chosen will retreat the regiment there and eliminate the Divisional HQ

not much to say about otherwise
front is stabilized in the great north

hard time there too
it's not easy to get out of beach head made across rivers

each time, i must try a bombardment before trying an assault if units can get any luck

most of these attacks are labeled as very poor

but I had to make a rear advance when they came in force and turn my line

two Finns division made the long way to reinforce this sector
