Details via the link. Looks like you can download an Alpha version for free. Has a table top look to it.

Looks VERY interesting, like a merge of Combat Mission and Battle Academy at my first glance.

about normal for me, losing already lol

got some good camera angles, and a clean map, easy to learn, very quick and fluid map, can turn, rotate / spin, zoom in and out and go behind or above any unit or building etc, low resources used, so plays well and is optimized well,...

reads like a map board, the old cardboard ones, but instead is a pc game of the same type, rules simple, terrain is key, battles short or medium term atm, very stable for a alpha build, it's a unity engine based game.

atm from this early alpha, everything seems well done, will have to see more than the number of maps in game so far and different sizes etc, but what i see, i like

Thanks Alan! It's good to see someone doing the recon for us!

And now for something really bare bones. But love the Nato counters, lots of units, and editor:

I brought Manoeuvre Warfare. Have only played the Polish Campaign thus far. I am enjoying it. On attack it seems using smoke makes a BIG difference, as it should.

anyone who wishes to join in and try the alpha game and help with it's progress, just login to discord and ask for a Key and then download and install the game and give it a try, you have nothing to lose, but plenty of hours of fun to gain

Time4War has no visual cue showing what can be seen and what can not. Like real life there is no fog of war. If a unit in your army can see an enemy then all units can see that enemy and if it is within firing range all units within range can fire.

Is that a pro feature???

No AI it seems. Plus not sure how infantry are featured in game.

Second front is still top of my tactical wishlist.

How does it model casualties?

Is the soldier a squad or platoon?

As I mentioned before

Has the look of Battle Command previously Talacosi by Historical Software. Which sadly can no longer be found on the internet.

Hi I'm the developer of Time4War thanks for showing an interest and special thanks to zakblood for the valuable testing feedback today

All units in the game are individually controlled. The infantry are important because they are the units with the greatest visibility and so provide valuable intel for your vehicles, planes and artillery. If you lose your infantry then you'll find it very difficult to direct your other units in battle. So your valuable tanks will be easily detected and out manoeuvred by your opponent.

The game is designed to play like a tabletop war game and each unit has a move and fire action. The game has no RNG and so if you can see and fire on a unit you will hit. Units have different armour and ammo types which means that it may take more than one shot to destroy your target. Once a unit fires it can no longer move that turn.

In the default game mode both players have the same units. That means that a Firefly will be matched with a Panther and a Pershing will be matched with a Tiger ( so not historically accurate ) This is to reflect the chess style gameplay and fits in with the competitive play style for multiplayer.

The game includes different fire modes like suppression which can stun targets at a greater range and some units can fire smoke or HE rounds. Units can be put into sentry fire mode which means they will fire on your opponents turn if they detect the enemy movement and have not fired already. Units can fire directly at targets or at locations ( the latter doing less damage but enables you to fire on targets at suspected locations ). Some ammo types such as HE can cause splash damage and take out multiple soft targets if placed too closely together.

The game has tutorial, hot seat, single player with strategic map of Normandy, multiplayer ( PBEM ) style, leader-board with chess ELO rating system and game replays.

In multiplayer mode you can enable unit selection and deployment options which allow you to spend points to select you own unit composition then you can position your units in the deployment phase before you begin ( the game system pastes a code in the clipboard enabling you to setup the same position in future matches )

Future developments will include a tournament screen which will allow you to reserve a seat in the next competition. Once all the seats are allocated the game will match opponents and run the tournament.

Other developments will be AI campaigns including Poland, North Africa, Normandy, Eastern Front and possibly Japan

The game is available to download and play for free at the moment and a really appreciate any comment and feedback that you may have
