Okay folks, if they were to make a movie, based on Steel Panthers and this forum, who would you want to play "you" in the movie? :)

How about suggestions for others in the forums? Like Jess, Hawk, Wild Bill, Jim1954, etc.?

This should be good! :D

Oh, me? Who would I want to play me? Robin Williams of course. :)

U so funny Jester.... ;)

I would say Tom Sizemore...even if he is in trouble with the law...but he would have to grow the goatee again. lol

As for Jess....I would say Michael Anthony Hall in his teen-ager days! Hipster Doofus. :D

my god what would this movie be about?!?! a bunch of people talking about 70s bongs parties and a bunch of tank factions warring over if the M4 burns brighter than a Tiger when on fire.
but if im going to be in it i demand an extra put on a jet black life support body armor suit and have James Earl Jones do my voice.

Kiefer...hmmm... I dunno about that one...

When I think of Hawk, only one person pops into mind...

Whoopi Goldberg. :)

Kurt Russell as Jess? NOT!

Jess could only be played by the late, great Carroll O'Conner...

Of course, now he's going to call me "Meathead!", but that's okay, because look at all the fun he had with the young Sally Struthers. ;)

Oh, come on! Can't you see this as a great "buddy" movie? A group of regular guys, who all are linked through this forum, and who still have to face the things we all face in our day to day lives.

Just look at some of the stuff that's happened here in the last few months...

The incident with Jennie, when she was buying Jess' Father's day gift...and the amazing response to that the members of the forum made!

The problems faced by gmenfan, and the support he's been shown by his "brothers" here.

The trip to Aberdeen, and the upcoming SPWAW-CON's in Kentucky, and Europe.

The locker room style banter we engage in here, combined with the deep respect and loyalty we share for each other.

I'm telling you, we could have an Oscar winner on our hands if it's done right. :)

Or, maybe not a "buddy" movie...how about action/adventure? A group of online wargamers band together and raid an armor museum, using the museum exhibits (because we're all experts on these antiques) to defeat an army of terrorists holding the Swedish Bikini Team hostage!

I'm telling you guys...we're sitting on a goldmine here. :)

Excuse me...I think I have a screenplay to go write...

I don't care if your dog "Spot" directs it... Just as long as I get to "handle" all the casting for the Swedish Bikini Team! ;)

If we go for the action movie (the one withe the Swedish bikini team), I'm afraid it would be easy:

While the Sherman crews free the girls and get all the "merits" ;),
the Tiger crews would try to repair their transmissions .
