1. I'll be honest and admit I don't recall what the violet means off the cuff in this screenshot, but I don't think there's a night flying preference beyond the air frame dictates. It may be a Sort we're not seeing, especially if you used the AI help. Regardless, those aircraft are perfectly viable day craft - the Free French Hurricanes for instance really couldn't be anything else. You'll also notice you set large numbers of spitfires and P-39s to "NO" = Night Only. Assuming that's not what you want, a tip: Probably the easiest way to do this as the allies, honestly, is at the start of a scenario just set everything to Day and Night. You're almost always on the attack, so you don't need to worry about your NFs running CAP by day, and it'll make everything easily visible when you toggle between day and night bombing. If you still wanted to set certain aircraft to night only, you could try selecting the aircraft type at the bottom and only highlight, say NF (nightfighters) or possibly click an air force like Bomber Command and then set the entire Air HQ to NO. Again, I find this mostly useful for the Germans whose nightfighters need to be watched carefully - there are ways to use them by day, but you certainly don't want them doing it on their own accord. 2. I was thinking of a different NONE. Your planes are running recon and there is no issue. If you click one of the little plus signs, you'll get a vast long list of stuff recon'd. It almost certainly isn't worth reading since you can see the result on the map either naturally or by turning on the recon overlay if you want more, but its there. 3. I'm not sure for Husky, but with a scenario this short it wouldn't matter - you'd never get them unlocked, let alone filled, before scenario end. As a tactical aside, the Sicily jumps are of questionable value; you might want to retarget them, recombine the division and then jump, or my personal favorite, just fly the airborne in to an airfield hex you need held.
