Hi all,

Two quick questions,
1)do linear tech advances automatically apply?
2)How do i increase militia replenishment? Do militia only replace in their own zone? I have had a group at -2 units for like 10 turns and cannot figure out how to get them to replenish.

Thank you!

1) I very much believe so but haven't yet gotten to the point to confirm this for myself.

2) Keep Militancy high (i.e. keep loyalty and your relationship with the Militia in your regime profile high, expect it to drop the more regular units you field and the more the zone is civilized). Good question about the zone limit, but I know for a fact that Zone Militia in Omicron sends Food and Oil to Coppermouth were one battalion and one regiment of Omicron guards are garrisoned after the city's been taken, therefore I suppose it could also send reinforcements if they were to be requested. Initially I was under the impression the system was broken but it is not and I have confirmed this personally. Maybe because I manage logistics better, and because Militancy is still very high in my game. The rate at which the Zone Militia gets fresh recruits to send as reinforcements also decreases if the number of militiamen on the map is higher than the maximum allowed, which can happen, so it might as well be that.

It's a nice subsystem, if a little abstract, I think.

1) To my knowledge, Linear techs have to be put into Models with another design pass. Same as with addon Tech like Sideskirts.
Management -> Models -> Tech Tab actually lists them

And then, this applies:
"Major Regime Militia will be able to produce (licensing and second-hand sales) their own versions of Models older than 5 Earth Years (30 Rounds) of the Regular Military. The Militias always tend to stay with the lower versions of Regular equipment... Any Protectorates or Vassals you have do also gain access to these older Models due to this rule. Some Minors can gain replacements by diminishing the Population in a Zone. There are slightly different rules for Militia forces depending on the Regime that they are loyal to"

2) High Militancy. Or disbanding Units that are mostly broken anyway. Note that Militancy will drop like a Rock, once you hit 10 Civilisation score. Only recovery is stratagems

You're welcome. In case you didn't know, you can look at the Zone Militia stats in the info box on the bottom-left of the screen when you have the zone tab opened and after clicking on the Militancy score (fist icon if I recall correctly).

I was monitoring it regularly and found proof in there during one turn that the Zone Militia had indeed sent replacements to militia units. This realization somewhat made it click for me.

Oh, true. I had totally forgotten about that. One can indeed see those slots for improvements there.

What about linear tech for economic assets, like cross-fertilization? Does that apply automatically? I don't see any indication that cross-fertilization is making my farms any more productive at all.

Well, there is always the option that the bonus is bugged. Public Economy was.

Verify that it is not just omited from the log. And if not, make a bug report about it with a screenshot.

In tech tree I don't see any connection to box with cross fertilization in it to any other later tech.
