Hey guys,

So my current game has been going pretty well, ups and down you know how it is. I turned on the cult and sects story module for this game and it has been quite enjoyable. However I did not realize the Eternity cult while giving a nice research point bonus has your workers taking en masse yoga classes, slashing production. 70% of my population is in this cult, if I start suppressing the cult will everyone get angry at me?

Another question, I can see the benefits all the cults give in the cults report but not the negatives, does anyone know what negative affects the other cults give or it always a hit to public production?

Your in luck, there's a thread going on to consolidate data on the cults' effects : there.

Can't say for sure about causing population's happiness to decrease if you suppress the cult, but I'm pretty sure it has an impact on your regime's profile which is to consider too. I'm under the impression supporting or suppressing cults is currently one the less indirect ways for the player to change the profile values.
