MWIF version 3.1.07

<CTRL> click in a hex to specify specific move path does not work as expected.

See attached image.
Japan MAR DIV wants to move like the black arraows without entering Hengyang. Legal moves. But the game forces path by the red arrows, entering Hengyang. This is EVEN when Japan <CTRL> click in the first hex! This is a bug.

<CTRL> click in the first hex trigger US Entry roll for Japan occipuying chinese city(Hengyang).

The game also forces the path even <CTRL> click is not used.

NOTE We use Option Railway Movement

FYI: Can be worked around by first turning off the railway movement bonus, making the desired move and then turning the railway movement bonus back on.

You should be able to make this move as two steps. Move the unit to the first hex you want it to go to. Drop the unit there. Pick up the unit again (it should still be selectable) and move it to the second hex.

EDIT: It might get disorganized since it would be out of supply after the first move.

The problem is that when he clicks on the first, adjacent hex, MWiF moved through a second hex, adjacent to both the starting hex and the first hex moved into, even though the player did not want to enter this hex. Because of the railway movement bonus rule, moving into the adjacent hex cost the same number of movement points whether the unit moved directly to the hex, or through the adjacent hex.

When Japan <CTRL> click in the first hex the game forces path by the red arrows (see img), entering Hengyang, a second hex. This a bug. Note optional railway movement is on.

Yeah, I tried this. I will have to think about this, since the program's default is to find the fastest path, and if that means going through the city, it will do so.

Should be fixable, but not high on my priority list.
