Haven't had this problem on my older machine. With new machine there is no partial scrolling to map areas. Move pointer to edge screen and it instantly scrolls to edge of map. Must use arrow keys to play game. This is doable and I still enjoy the game. Tried windowed and regular with same results. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Also add I've played COI and other CC games on new machine with no scrolling issues.

Does the scroll speed setting in the game options have any influence on the mouse edge scrolling speed?

I don't recall any other reports of something like this -- it could be a mouse sensitivity issue but I would expect other games to be effected the same way if so. Do you have any mouse-related utilities / tracking software installed? You might try turning that off temporarily and see if that effects things.

Does drag-scrolling the map with the mouse also happen too fast? Try left-click and hold on the battlefield map until you get a 'grab' icon, then move the mouse around with the left button held down.

No tracking software. Click and drag is not functional for this game is it? TBF is only one you can drag? May be quirk with this Alienware desktop product. Tried mouse settings but no luck there.

Are you able to force vsync or a frame limit for the game via the video card control panel?

Cheers

Pip

Max frame rate was turned off. Set it to 50fps and voila fixed! Nice. You can learn something every day if you try Thanks guys.

Glad it is resolved. As a side note you can drag scroll the map in Panthers in the Fog and Gateway to Caen. Left click and hold until you get a 'grab hand' and then continue to hold the mouse down as you move it.
