I'm curious about how veteran players utilize those settings.

Lately I'm using Minimize losses for probing attacks (very rarely), but mainly for units that have advanced too far and will probably be counterattacked. My reasoning is that with Minimize Losses they'll retreat when attacked before suffering too much losses.

Limited losses is the "standard" attitude.

Ignore Losses is mainly for offensive thrusts that I WANT to succeed no matter what, like encirclements or rushing for objectives. I also use for defensive posture when I absolutely don't want to give up that hex. I tend to use this quite a lot and maybe too often.

How do you use them?
