Question... as the Axis takes cities and areas in Great Britain the British production gets reduced, so does that translate to the German production increasing?

Also, when you say you get such and such tech level (such as Germany gets interceptor '43 tech) do you mean you achieved that level in research? Or that all the combat units (using that tech) have upgraded to that level now and are able to use it in combat?

Germany does get a very minor production increase, it's mostly about reducing British income.

When I mention tech, it is when I get it, not when I've fully upgraded. Usually though units are upgraded immediately after.
Once the fighting starts in Russia though, Germany may struggle to keep up with upgrades, reinforcements and production.

Soon it will start to hurt.

Turn 59: November 21, 1941

Germany gets panzer 42 tech. U-boats sink 6 merchants.

A massive Allied carrier strike damages the Germany navy.
The US Ranger also scores a single hit on a CA group.
I still don't understand defender naval air losses, does anyone know?

Clearly interceptors are not enough - we will have to move our fleet
away from the coast.

The German economy is doing really well. As manpower is filling up we
limit upgrades so that we can buy more infantry units (basically reserves of manpower).

At this point I am feeling really confident, perhaps a bit overconfident, which is dangerous.
But we are far from spring and the Axis armies are just about ready to take on the Soviets.
Also so far the Soviet positions are not too menacing (more on that next turn), but who knows
what they will do before spring.

How does Germany have so much oil in WW2 without having taken the Caucasus or the Middle East oil?

There are a few tricks. One is to whenever possible move your armour and air units by rail. You should never "walk" your armour from Poland to France, or France to the East before Barbarossa. ALL strategic moves of armour and air should be by rail whenever possible. During the snow and rain turns do not move your armour at all (except by rail) unless absolutely necessary. Of course, try and finish off France as soon as possible. Do not move your fleets at all (subs are Ok) unless you have a firm objective in mind. BBs use up an incredible amount of oil. I think a lot of players disband the Italian armour and mech units. The Italian player only has limited amount of research available and it seems a waste to concentrate any on armour when they will probably never have more than 2 or 3 armour or mech units anyway.

If you follow these guidelines than after the fall of France you should see your oil reserves start to rise for Germany. In fact, you should reach capacity before Barbarossa. This is actually a bad thing as you don't want any oil to go to waste. So what you should do (as Alvaro has already posted) is trade some German oil to Italy so that the Italian capacity starts to fill up as well. Later you can always trade it back if necessary.

The occupation of the British Islands is complete. The formerly named 2nd Light Panzer
has been left as a mobile reaction force. On the mainland a German corps and a Yugolsavian
army are on standby.

Spain is still receiving 100 production per turn from Germany. By now it
has 2 large corps ready to react, one in the north, one in the south.

Germany builds a large corps, Italy builds a mountain corps.

Axis submarines sink 9 merchants and 2 escorts. Italian subs lose 4 steps to carrier strikes.

Germany builds a large corps and switches production aid to Italy (from Spain).

The Middle East has been quiet for a long time, but there are a lot of Allies forces in Egypt!

Turn 62: January 2, 1942

An incredibly quiet turn. The Axis fleets are hiding in Oran.

So let's take a look at Finland. Finland has sent two large corps to Eastern Prussia.
Home deployments are purely defensive.

Germany builds a large corps.

Turn 63:

Axis submarines sink 6 merchants and 1 escort but lose 4 steps.

The 10th panzer arrives, that's all of them.

Italy gets anti-tank 42. Germany builds a large corps.

German infantry corps are renamed. There are currently 34 mobilized.

The eastern front is filling up. Soviet deployments are rather sparse.

Allied subs sink 6 merchants and we have to close down the Iron Ore route.

Germany builds a large corps.

Turn 65: February 13, 1942

Axis surface raiders sink 14 merchants but Allied carriers find the Italian
fleet and sink the Guilio Cesare and Trieste and damaging the remaining Fiume
and CL/DD. Basically the Italian fleet is no more.

Germany moves a large corps to London. Italy builds a small corps.

Turn 66: February 27, 1942

Axis surface raiders sink 12 merchants, however carrier strikes sink a CL/DD squadron
and the Schlesien group, scoring 9 steps on various other ships. Our raiding days may be mostly
over. The UK is down to 86 merchants.

The remains of the Axis fleets head to Oran for repairs.

Germany switches its aid to Yugoslavia and builds a large corps.

Italy builds a mountain corps.

Turn 67: March 13, 1942

U-boats sink 4 merchants and an escort, but take 3 steps damage.
I really don't see the point in using them anymore.
Italian u-boats sink nothing, take no damage.

Germany builds a large corps and turns off all convoys and upgrades,
we need to activate several garrisoned infantry units.

Turn 68: March 27, 1942

A carrier group strikes at our parked u-boats. Little do they know
that our submarines are already retired from raiding service.

Our bombers strike back, scoring a couple of hits on US battleships,
taking 4 step losses. Honestly not worth it. These air units will be sent east.

Germany builds a large corps and activates all garrisoned infantry units.

We note with interest a strong British presence in Syria.

Turn 69: April 10, 1942

British carriers strike our u-boats but take some losses in the process.
I'm just going to let them at it, the u-boats are set to do not repair.

Italy gets Assault 43, they'll struggle to upgrade.

Germany builds a heavy panzer (the 11th).

Turn 70: April 24, 1942

Heavy rains and blizzards on the eastern front.

Plenty of Allied fleets on the move in the Atlantic. We send an elite
Spanish corps to Casablanca.

Germany builds the 12th Panzer.

But of course the real was is about to start in the east. A 1942 attack on the Soviets is
a very different beast from 1941. Resistance will be heavy and there will be losses.
However I am confident we will be able to make good progress. I've never had a stronger army
than this for Barbarossa.

Already one drawback will hinder us. The weather lately has been unusually severe and many of
our forces are not as highly organised as they should be.

On our first turn of the attack we shatter 14 rifle corps and one surrenders.
SillyFlower wisely uses his rifle corps as frontline buffers. My tactic with the
Soviets is much the same.

For now all our paratroopers are in reserve. They are not even ready to drop.
Germany has 17 supply trucks and Italy only 4. A mistake on my part, I forgot
to buy a few more.

Germany builds 10 supply trucks.
