Ok, this has only happened once (so far), so I know it'd be hard to find the cause.
Started my first game as Allies. Re-started because of the following.
Axis took NO damage from any attacks.
All Japanese attacks in China- no losses for them, not one single strength point lost clear into 1941.
Germany- not one single strength point lost in Poland, France, Belgium, or Netherlands. And units on the French border had entrenchment values of 2. Attacked German subs- no losses for them.
I'm thinking, this is crazy. lets see what happens in Russia when I get there. 4 turns into the attack on the USSR, and again, not a single strength point lost.
By then, China was almost done for, the Soviet army couldn't even slow the Germans. They were going to have Leningrad, Moscow, Stalingrad (and already had Sevastopol)by December 41. Allied destroyers and air units were decimated, with no axis air or sub losses.
Hence, why I started a new game. Then everything changed and combat results were more reasonable. Got the butt kicking I expected in Poland and France, but they did lose some strength points. Japan was actually losing points attacking fortified positions in China, something that hadn't happened in the first game.
Apologize for deleting the saved game when I restarted. Should have sent that to you.
