A small list of issues I have encountered so far:

> My monitor size is 1280 x 1024 and the the Right Panel invades the Tab windows (Particularly the REP tab). Even when the Right Panel is closed it still bugs out and pops up over the REP window.

> Staying with my small monitor, please could the developers add an option to make the UI and Text "Smaller"? The UI and text are just too big for small monitors.

> I have a 'cheating' Slavers Faction with a large Mobilized Slavers force... in HIGH MOUNTAINS!!

> Can someone tell me what the 'Mission Impossible' card is for? It will cost me 62 Pol Points + an impossible roll with crazy difficulty for just two Fate Points.... seems a pointless card I do not understand it?

> Please add option on Strategic Map to remove Zone Names... I cannot see the resources and such under the Zone Names.

To get 'free' (not hurting your zones) Fate Points, which are awesome. If you fail, you'll get 1 still, just don't critically fail. And if you fail, the leader who rolls might get better at rolling it :)

Good catch and the right pane window that sometimes appeared back after initially being hidden to show the full tab.

Ideally you should up your resolution a bit since 1280 width is the barest minimum to play Shadow Empire. However you might have a screen that has 1280 as the hard maximum, rare but possible... Hence I am adding a 75% DPI setting to Prefs.

Upcoming Beta-6 will have:
-Fixed a graphic glitch with right bar reappearing when Tabs open in very low resolution screen (that should hide the right tab to make place for the Tab itself)
-Added a 75% DPI mode that simulates having a larger screen. Obviously at the cost of some render speed and graphic fidelity, but it might be useful to some low resolution screen players.

Thank you for the replies.

GodwinW: I did not know that you can still get one fate point if you fail (but don't critically fail) that makes it a little more of a 'gamble' now - if your desperate - and the fact that the card is also called 'mission impossible' does make more sense now because the 'roll' is practically impossible. Thanks for clarifying.

Vic: Yeah unfortunately that is the max res for my monitor but the tabs and everything do 'just fit' but it's that pesky 'right panel' that is the problem. My monitor is a Hanns.G HX194DPB 19 inch so will very much appreciate that new 75% dpi option! Thanks.

Okay below is an updated list of issues, suggestions and questions, some may have already been fixed, asked or discussed elsewhere just ignore if that's the case:

> I do not think we should be able to build an 'Industry' Asset if a private 'Light Industry' asset already exists? Particularly as it resides on the same city hex. We should have to nationalize the 'Light Industry' asset first if we want to upgrade and take full advantage of the industry assets - But I would like to know others thoughts on my suggestion?

> The asset view option 'Only assets in the selected hex are shown' should not apply to the Asset Management screen. If the aforementioned option is enabled then Assets outside the city are not shown in the Asset Management screen.

> Possible issue with 'Volunteerism' as I received an Extra Militia REGIMENT on round 16? I should not receive extra/free Regiment sized Militia until round 20.

> What exactly is Public Trading and why do all Minor Faction's and my own Faction NEVER seem to have any public trading figures while major factions always have public trading reports and there seems to be no mention of Public Trading in the manual? Light industry is a LIGHT private one. Making shirts, backpacks, farmer trucks and so on. Your industry making warmachines and factories. Obviously they are completely unrelated so everything is fine here.

Excuse me? Why you thing you shouldn't? Forming of regiments based on militia scores (possible on zone population and private economy - unsure about it) and that score could change a lot in different games because of events.

It IS mentioned in manual - Major Regimes are protectionists and don't allow free trade between them initially. You need to play diplomacy stratagem to unlock trade between you and another major.

You could re-play end of turn and see all OUR battle reports using "history" map mode (HIS button in top-left). But yean, we aren't able to see enemy battle reports. Personally I don't see this being an issue - enemy obviously using cryptography and in fact we have special encodings that impossible to break (they have own huge limitation so basically limited for military uses only).

AFAIK you can use filters when selecting your leaders. And when selecting a zone - you can simply click on it on mini-map :)

Yes, I can see your point here and that is why I raised the question, it just seemed a bit odd that we have to nationalize scavenging communities, aggri-domes, truck stops etc to gain full benefits, but not the industry?

Before round 20 'volunteerism' was only meant to provide extra BATTALION sized militia? Extra REGIMENT sized militia were not supposed to be supplied until round 20 - or from round 20 to 100 - after which it's extra DIVISIONS.

I did not find a single instance of 'public trading' in the manual using 'find' (i had to convert the PDF to MS Word as Firefox seemed to only load a few pages at a time) BUT - that said, you have nailed it with the diplomacy stratagems to unlock trading, as mentioned I have not finished the full game yet so this is why I asked - so thanks for clarifying that for me.

No, its not an issue, but just a 'suggestion' as it would be very interesting to see how enemy battles pan out - but again only if we have very HIGH recon on the hex in question because - as you say we - would need to retrieve battle information by using LOTS of spies and gain that valuable information, but would be interesting from an information point of view.

Yes some do have filters but send spies for example has only a list of zones in a kind of 'random' order, now clicking on the region has the same issue I pointed out above with the Strat Map where the 'click' is way below center of where I click so ends up being 'guess work' but i'm not sure if you have a similar issue or if it may be connected to monitor size, map size or such.

They spawned on the high mountains and got stuck there. This is fixed in the beta.

It's not WASD, but you can use arrow keys.

Because we don't have a communism as an option? How your government will use sewing machines, huh? Or lemonade cans / snack packs? All this is a light industry.

Again - WHY? I get militia battalions before turn 20 a few time, but usually not - depending on my Militia score and capital zone militancy. Events are random aside from starting one about credits for militia.

Page 237 about Trade deal levels + if I remember correctly somewhere else it's mentioned too.

Destragon: Thanks for the update on those 'flying' mobilized slaver units, I did think they must have spawned there.

I also knew the arrows key work but I prefer the left side of keyboard for scrolling, however I have a gaming keyboard that allows me to switch arrows keys for ASWD so I kinda solved that for now... except when I forget to turn it back off and wonder why my keyboard is not working properly!... catches me out EVERYTIME! lol

Well, yeah I get the point here - light industry for the people and then industry for the warmachine yes, but then we could just research and build a 'used lemonade can - artillery gun'... absolute genius yes? just think about it and then get back to me! (But I already know my ideas are fantastic so I will understand your silence.......)

But no militia units have been created for that zone yet despite the manpower existing and even the current size is over 10K?? So I am a bit confused at what is happening here I expected a battalion be created once enough manpower was ready.

I'm not 100% on this, but my understanding is that you have a 'Militancy' score (located at the bottom of zone stats, near 'Unrest' and the like), which presents the possibility of creating militia units independent of Volunteerism. So a higher militancy score = a higher chance to gain an Extra Militia Regiment (or Battalion). This can occur even if you don't have Volunteerism, or it can occur if you ALSO have Volunteerism.

Please read it carefully. Extra militia. So this feat would provide ADDITIONAL militia units to default ones but not prohibit default system to spawn their own units.

MAX militia size is 1800 while you already have 10300. So you will NOT see any new militia units for a long time (until massive losses or when they decide to rebuild militia units with a new models).
