Good day Gentlemen. Ladies.

What!!! No filler posts to another INP?? And I left this page wide open for you ....

No filler posts allowed.

Absolutely none.

And when I say none, I mean a few are permitted.

But no exceptions to that rule.

Unless in extreme circumstances.

Or if time and space combine to make...

An INP possible.

All yours, whoever...

Whoever could that be?

It could be anyone really?

We could be charitable to orm again?

Or to some other poor soul?

Are you in need?

It could be you?

And congratulations on a new record for nested posts! Enough to make an ostrich proud!

That sounds like a dare to go one better!

Or more than one post better...

Better yet!

Is this post the straw that broke the camel's back?

I think that is a straw camel argument

Is there a Camel Cult, like the Cargo Cult?

Yes, but they worship the Camel's feet - or at least part of them.

Did we not say not to bring up the topic of the toe!!!

Stand Back! Mr. Creosote is about to eat a wafer thin mint!

No, the Camel's heel, which, as I understand it, would be delicious smoked . . .

Could the camel's heel get through the eye of a needle?

It can but it depends upon the needle. But if you are referring to the needle as mentioned in "The Book" that was actually a gate in Jerusalem that was narrow and was difficult to get through.

Cannot remember that mentioned in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?

No, it is a much different and older book. Look up the title "Book" in the Greek language.

is that the really old book with a big flood in it?

Gilgamesh

Yes, the "Book" had a big flood in it but was not Gilgamesh. Some people are being obtuse.

BTW, you did not nest that INP so it does not count.

Your post is clearly fictional, as breech loading cannon were not invented until the late 19th century.

Hi guys (and gal, if she passes by). I'm back!!!

Did you miss me, well at least one of you did.

I know, I know, from this range your aim is bound to get better.

Well its a long story, but I'll keep it short. Simply stated, I don't have the internet in my home. Was just about to change that when Covid hit. Well that put the kibosh on things. Finally got things going through 'other sources', so to speak.

So, I'll be around again (aren't you lucky). Although I'm not going to try to catch up on the last four months.

Good to see you haunting THE THREAD!!! again, rustysi!

Now, if only we could get Lecivious to give us a drive by tithe.....

Been a bit of a stranger myself around these parts. Lots going on in the USS America household. Still working on details to get a new house under contract, my step daughter bought a horse of her own for the first time, and I crossed over 1500 miles on my bicycle yesterday since Memorial Day. Virtually riding the entire length of Interstate 40, from Wilmington, NC to Barstow, CA. I crossed into Texas last night.

Riding a bicycle on the Interstate? I hope that you are going at least 40 mph.

Well, when I drove in Deutschland, I did not let the Germans ride my tail. I virtually and actually drove very fast but no passenger complained out loud.

Good evening.

How can you have 'evening' if the sun hasn't set? You go directly from day to twilight.

Better yet, how can you have evening when the sun does not set for a few months?

I did ask this question to some Alaskans I knew, especially as their prayer times and fast times depended on it. They explained their religious leaders tell them when God takes it as evening, day and night whatever the sun says!

Figuring out exactly when religious events governed by the sun/moon are supposed to happen is complicated. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computus

Gilgamesh

This book?

Your post is clearly fictional, as breech loading cannon were not invented until the late 19th century.

Stand back! When this baby goes it'll take the whole Forum down!

I was thinking that... But you know saying it is only going to encourage them.

Hi all.
