I am having an issue with zooming in/out performance using a mouse. It works very well when I select individual units/small groups but is bad when I select an airfield. This happens when the game regardless whether the game is running or is paused.

I am using BNMG layer, but the issues are the same with Sentinel etc.

Using Z/X makes it less noticeable but issues are still visible.

The way to replicate:
1. Load scenario Broken Shield 300, pick Israeli side
2. Select an individual radar or SAM site, zooming in-out works flawlessly
3. Select Hazerim air base, zooming in-out is very slow

Status: offline 		I've noticed this too but it seems to happen when any group with many units is selected. This includes airfields as well as large surface groups with >10 ships. When these groups are selected the responsiveness of the game is reduced dramatically. Not 100% sure it's the same issue OP is referring to but it sounds similar.

Just tried it on an i9-10980HK with a 2080S Max Q laptop and no discernible issues. Also tried it on an i7-1098 with a GFX 1660 ti surface book 3 with the same result. This was with 1447.7.

Status: offline 		I don't have a dxdiag file handy, I'll see about providing one. My specs that I experienced this with are an i7 6700K and GTX 1070, with CMO version 1.01 Build 1147.4 via Steam- but this has been an issue for me for as long as I can remember- even back in CMANO over a year ago.

Status: offline 		Please note, this is not really graphics related (though i provided dxdiag in an earlier post), generally it looks like the game itself is slowing down to a crawl.

Please confirm if the performance hit only happens when you have the 'Map Settings' 'Datalinks' display option set to 'Selected unit' AND the 'Show Ghosted Group Members' option on. Thanks.

Status: offline 		I was about the post the same (similar?) problem:
When large scenario is played, the game runs smooth (I have a fast computer), but when I select an airfield with many units, zooming in/out, moving the map with RMB… slows the game significantly, to a slideshow.
It can be tested easily in Broken Shield or any large scenario:
-Select any airfield and zooming in/out, moving the map with RMB becomes a slideshow
-Select any other unit (plane, radar, SAM site, ship, sub…) and zooming in/out, moving the map with RMB is smooth

Datalinks does not solve the problem.
Setting "show ghosted group members to" to "do not show" fixed the problem!

@Steve yes, I have only played with Datalinks set to Selected Unit and Show Ghosted Group Members option enabled. I have not yet tried without these settings so I can't confirm that the problem only happens then- but FWIW the problem definitely does happen with those settings.

Next time I play I'll check and see if changing those settings fixes the problem.
