Hey guys,

another airplane availablity question, this time on the P-47-D5/15:

The P-47-D5 has the "US" tag (country 13 in the editor), and I can use it fine.
However, production has now switched over to the P-47-D15, which has the "AM" tag (country 38 in the editor). I have a good number of these in the pool, but it seems I cannot actually use them when trying to change the aircraft of any US FB group.
Both types ahve the airprofile "31" per the editor.

there's something quirky about the P47s that I've never fully worked out (the other odd one is the P47-22). One set can also be used by Free French units (and very handy as it eases the pressure on often limited CW aircraft types), so see if you can swap those commands around?

It seems absolutely no one can use the P-47-D15. Neither USAAF, nor FFR squadrons. That is despite both of these groups being able to use the P-39Q, which also has tha AM country tag.

Yelp?

Which game version are you using ?
In an older game version there may be an improperly set date overlap so you may have to wait a month for them to become usable.
AM tag is used for aircraft which may be flown by other nations like Free France, Allied Italy, probably Brazil but not UK/CW nations. US tag is for US-use only.

Version 1.02.59 with the additional Air HQs on the 1943 full campaign.

in this game version the D-5 production ends 8/43, the D-15 starts 7/43 so the D-15 becomes usable in 10/43 due to 3-month delay.
I will need to correct this in a future version

Dennis - to beat a dead horse, do you think it's the three-month delay rate for American aircraft models that causes a problem?

New player's perspective: Since this is neither documented in the manual nor really shown in-game it at least has the potential for further confusion.
