Sinapore was nuked after it was captured, so the dockyard isnt large enough yet. ive repaired it up to 34 size, but im also repairing half a dozen DDs and a cl that were damaged during the chittagong landing.

hongkong was also damaged and the repair dockyard is currently at 17.

Im gonna repair the Singapore dockyard to at least 40.

What plane type/ model would you recommend to use in a night naval search role? should I use C5M2 or the army equivalent in this role?

Float planes like the Jake, the Mavis or Emily flying boats, even a detachment of Japanese bombers will work but the pilots must have an experience of 50 or better. The best Naval Search skill so they know that a PT boat is not a Battleship.

The Babs is a Recon plane more than a Naval search plane.

March 29th

The main event today was payback for the poor tank attack in China yesterday. It appears that the results of yesterdays attack gave dean the wrong idea regarding my strength as the main body of my push caught up right when he attacked. The results were devastating for the two Chinese corps. I don't think I've seen losses this one sided before.

30th of March

Sweeps trade relatively evenly in India losing 9 zeros and 1 oscar for 14 hurricanes.

A Naval surface TF is spotted north of Cochin containing the Repulse and some cruisers. Nagato and Mutsu based at Cochin along with 5 CAs, 1 CL, and 15 DDs will move to engage in a night battle tomorrow while the transports flee. All troops have been unloaded so not much at risk, but im not gonna give up a chance to take a favorable night engagement vs the British.

In china the 2 Chinese corps were soundly routed and the spearhead advances towards Chihikiang where there is minor opposition. The troops in Changasha are already encircled they just don't know it yet.

Allied adjusted defense: 7

Japanese assault odds: 154 to 1

Honourable surface combat did not occur today, it appears that the British TF ****ed off after it was spotted north of Cochin. Its odd that he would attempt probing movements with a Battlecruiser, but i guess he lost his nerves and pulled back.

Carrier Division 1 is currently patroling the edge of the map near the cape town off map exit looking for any ships heading to India. Carrier Divisions 2-3 are in Singapore refitting and replenishing their air units which took some loses during the raid earlier.

3 Zero units and 1 G4M unit arrived in Japan today to replace units withdrawing on the front lines earlier. Once the units are filled up ill decide where to send them, probably to India.

Sweeps go well in India trading 2 zeros, and a Oscar for 9 Hurricanes.

April 3rd

Not much has happened the last few days, bad weather in India has repeatably canceled sweeps of calcutta. I'm continuing to destroy cut off Indian troops in Burma, and moving to cut off a Indian Division that has been giving my Paras trouble up in north east India. ill post pictures of china and India in a bit.

I also have intel from my opponent that the torpedo on the Formidable didn't do much damage, So I expect that she is still part of the Allied line of battle.

In SW Pac im moving to build Air fields on Lunga and to reinforce Tagula island, which is already mined, and will receive Coastal guns when the port is built up enough.

The zero unit aboard Taiyo was withdrawn today as well, but I get a replacement unit in Bankok in 2 days. my CVEs needed some minor repairs anyways.

In Burma I have begun bombarding the 1st Burma Division with 3 old Predreadnought Era curisers that start as PG in this scenario. They are very slow but have reasonable firepower making them only suited for coastal bombardment duty.

If you can't sweep Calcutta, why not sweep the kitchen floor?

Ok I have a question for you guys, im currently trying to convert the CS chitose to a CVL It has no damage and is disbanded in Nagasaki which has a sufficiently large dockyard. furthermore I have the ship set yes to upgrade.... not sure what my problem is.

The Chitose and Chiyoda conversions are governed by a different set of rules than the usual upgrades. See this thread, Alfred's post in particular :

April 4th

The turn opens with some DDs and CLs stepping on a sub north of Cochin in south India.

ASW attack near Mangalore at 31,32

Japanese Ships
SS I-29, hits 10

Allied Ships
DD Decoy
CL Newcastle
CL Adelaide
DD Kelvin
DD Panther
DD Isis
DD Hotspur

I'm preparing for a potential raid this next turn, more likely that hes just probing my defenses in the south.

Sweeps in India are once again grounded by bad weather...... this is ridiculous I havent been able to sweep in a whole week now.

Air raids go in as normal in china

Morning Air attack on 58th Chinese Corps, at 79,50 , near Chihkiang

Weather in hex: Light rain

Raid spotted at 20 NM, estimated altitude 9,000 feet.
Estimated time to target is 7 minutes

Japanese aircraft
A6M2 Zero x 30
G3M2 Nell x 33
G4M1 Betty x 62
Ki-43-Ic Oscar x 9

Japanese aircraft losses
G4M1 Betty: 1 damaged

Allied ground losses:
176 casualties reported
Squads: 0 destroyed, 9 disabled
Non Combat: 0 destroyed, 8 disabled
Engineers: 0 destroyed, 0 disabled

The turn ends with an unsuccessful attack in northern china vs encircled troops. I think I'll now officially give up killing them and just bypass them and ignore them.

2nd Kure Assault Division sucessfully unloaded at rennel Island, though i need 1 more day to unload some more supply and some support. Im not sticking around any longer since I'm spotted.

On another note A6M5 was accelerated 1 month a few days ago, I expect to receive it some time in 7/42.

Situation in India rn

P.S. forgot to mention the 33rd Division just unloaded at Chittagon. the 5th Division is on the way as well. Tomoyuki Yamashita, the tiger of Malaya is leading the campaign. The fruits of victory are falling into our mouths far too easily...
