Game Crashes When Unit Is Selected v1.07 - 9/15/2020 11:18:00 PM

Status: offline 		The error message is:
Failed(draw_opertional_management_panel_to_buffer): Segmentation Violation
This did not happen in any of the other versions.

Status: offline 		Hmmm, I cannot speak for version errors. But I can speak for a very occasional Microsoft looking error which crashes (well, closes the game) and pops-up the start up page + that Microsoft looking default box.

Here's my guess.

1) Clicking, really, really fast. I have a habit of click an Air Attack, then clicking to the side of the board while the visualization animation of the Air Attack is taking place. Think I learned this excessive clicking behavior 15 years ago, playing SC-1.
2) I've noticed other times, when I get some "Microsoft error" my power cord may be disconnected. I don't know alot about computers, but it might be power which in return slows the processor? Guess
3) Having a bunch of sh-t open in Chrome/IE/Background programs. If I have a bunch stuff running, like MLB Baseball live streaming, YouTube, some news channel video stream, more apt to crash.
4) If I'm running my other sorry slow computer.

Going to upgrade my guess, and use the word observations.

5) Outside chance it's some freaky Java exception error. That crap updates, no idea if related.

Is this repeatable on your end? Is this with a mod, custom campaign or a default campaign and setup?

If this is repeatable and from an AI or Hotseat game please don't hesitate to send me a turn with instructions and I'll be happy to tkae a look and make any fixes as necessary.

The game is a mod, running as Axis against the AI, which has worked well throughout the various updates. The problem only occurs when I select a unit. None of the built in mods are selected. I can do diplomacy, research and place units but the game crashes when I select a unit to move. My pc is not an “Uber” machine but it is respectable and does not run slowly. It is home built with a 6850k processor, 64 GB ram, 1080Ti graphics with the game and system running on a Samsung NVMe EVO Plus 1 TB.

One thing which has not been an issue before is I am on the fast ring for win10 releases.

Status: offline 		Thanks for the info and let's try the following in case you've modified your interface graphics and this is as a result of the latest update which changed a few things.

1) Please take a look at the following files in the root directory of the game \Interface folder.

\Interface\game_screen_operational_management_buttons.png
\Interface\game_screen_operational_management.png

Make a note of the changes and see if you can modify your modified interface graphics to match (if this possibly applies). Let me know if this fixes the issue, if not, then I'll likely need to see your mod to see what is incompatible and causing this to crash on your end.
