Germany captured one old BB, and one old CA.

Italy took over a few damaged French ships (3 x BB + CA).

Will the Rabaul notional be included in the combat? Makes no difference whatsoever as far as I can tell.

Will the Batavia notional be included in the combat? The landing force has the modified strength of 8.5. Japan has 12 points of shore bombardment available.

Edit: Japan has 1 point is air support available as well.

Yes to Batavia and choose assault.

The other does not matter.

Japan adds 9 points in shore bombardment to the assault on Batavia.

Will China provide defensive HQ support for the attack on hex 83,132?

CW flies a FTR into Arabian Sea.
US cp continues to The Marshalls and another cp moves into Polynesia sz
Several US cp's and a few picket CA/BB move into sz's in Pacific
In Atlantic some US cp's move into various sz's and a few US CA's move out as well
2 US CA's carry divisions into Algiers
Larger US TF moves into CSV

3 chances to search for Axis. Where to search and what to flip?

JP wins 2-9 split Polynesia sz and sinks the cp.
After thinking about this naval move I realized there was little point in moving the 2nd cp into the sz so a recriminations phase begins at U.S. Pacific Fleet HQ. Surprise effects are blamed for the mistake.

Rail move
6-4 INF from Archangel to Basra

Land moves
FF
TERR to Beirut

CW
moves troops around in India
Delhi MIL moves into Iraq
GAR moves into Murmansk
Canada 4-2 TERR SE into Washington state
troops move around in Egypt & Iraq

Denmark
MAR NE to 42,36
AT gun from port to 43,35

SU moves troops around and preps an attack SE of Kiev. It's currently 48:16 +6A +12B. Guderian can commit. There are 2 AA guns attacking and no HQ attacking. SU will choose combat table. All relevant planes are on top in the picture I think other than an IT FTR2 with no a2g factors in Kiev. Will Guderian commit?

i am not sure why reading the recent moves made me think of this, and happy to post elsewhere but i was wondering your thoughts on the following

what if you could move what you want - period (i guess like a super combined)? i may be missing something but using GE as example
- they can move the subs out first phase every turn vs having to await a naval
- they can activate subs every phase vs only some

but all in all you are limited by air missions and searches disorg the subs so that is self limiting
there are obvious similarities - benefits / drawbacks offsetting for other powers

i am wondering if the change would totally upset the cart or just make a different (but simpler? as you dont have to track naval combined etc) game

1 AA gun fires and stops 2 a2g factors. Soviet tanks roll forward in a successful attack.

SU rebases FTR and LND near d-town and FTR in north rebases along Dvina river north of Vitebsk
CW rebases Beaufighter in Egypt closer to Med
US rebases Dauntless from Pago Pago to Palmerton island farther southeast, Tomahawk and Dauntless from Pearl to Washington Island and Palmyra (south)
cvp's at Pearl that were not on CV's rebase onto CV's

Looks to me like the surprise points are borked (bugged). Allies roll 6, and Axis 5. So The Allied search number is 5+5=10, while the Japanese should be 2+1+6=9, and give the Allied side 1 surprise point. Yet the program gives the Allied side 2 surprise points. Seems to me that the program ignores the bonus for the Japanese CV (The CVP has a range of 4 so a +1 bonus applies).

Anyway. To get along with the game I am playing it as is and use the two surprise points to reduce damage done.
