Sweeps over Rangoon and Manilla do okay. Nothing flew over Singers, bad weather.

I think we sank four destroyers...and depleted the ammo on another four.

Just finished the turn...so much to do with no HR...all of China. I think I will never play a no HR game again, and insist upon PP to cross borders at a bare minimum. If I only was playing one game, or one of the games was in 1943 I might feel differently.

Attacking Miri...AA is unloaded there too, although Allies seem to have retreated a good chunk of bombers from the SRA. Perhaps they are hiding at one of the Dutch level 4 runways. Have to assume that they are.

Looks like two days for Mersing invasion...

Shokaku and her sis are headed to just off Ceylon...

Thundering herd is being attacked again...

Rabaul invasion is standing to...waiting for surface ships and Taiyo which should be one day. Taking Manus today, and will be able to fly search from there tomorrow. Search from Tarawa tomorrow too, plenty of subs watching the Marshalls approach.

Dec 11, 1941

The leading task force in the Thundering Herd is the AS Otus….and she simply can't take 40cm hits.

A small destroyer squadron surprises the American destroyers in the middle of the Thundering Herd, they must be super low on ammunition...

Lots of IJN task forces reacting to the Thundering Herd...which seems to be dispersing. Lots of single ship encounters...

Lots of daytime naval reactions based off MDL from the night...although we can't see the enemy yet!

There was a half dozen or so engagements that failed to materialize, I am thinking those encounters were with 1 ship xakl task forces and the local Commander deemed it not worth the ammo expenditure? At least that is what I am telling Tokyo!

Kinugasa arrives on patrol, and sinks the Childs...the Childs survived three engagements during the night and could have been a propaganda victory for the Americans. Instead, sunk!

I think this is the last really big ship that fled to the east. The Holland fled west, and will hopefully be caught this afternoon.

Not sure what caused the Nishimi Maru to sink off Guam, which was invaded, as well as Hollandia, Miri conquered and the rail line to Shanghai cleared all the way to Manchuko…

Most of the remnants probably lack the fuel to make good their escape to the east now...but they are surrounded and will be destroyed. I think there is still one tanker a float and the Canopus.

Usually, I never really cared about sinking all the of the Thundering Herd, preferring to establish my perimeter quickly and without substantial loss. This game I was able to force the Allies to flee east for the most part which worked out well in a hammer and anvil type situation.

Bay of Bengal

Fifth Carrier Division will loiter in this region for quite a while.

The KB will oversee the invasion of Palembang and Java and then move east to Port Moresby and Darwin.

Hoping to land in Rabaul in 2-3 days.

I want to rope off the Bay of Bengal with the Fifth Carrier Division and destroyers.

China...things are looking good here. It seems the Allied attention is elsewhere...

Public Service Announcement: I have drawn the Manchuko garrison down to 8048 which is just too darn close for comfort given my abysmal history with the Soviets. Will boost it up to 8500 tomorrow.

Nishimi Maru likely hit rocks during the landings. Usually if it is a mine or collision you get more notification of the event.

IJN sinks a couple of task forces of the Thundering Herd...with daytime comes several very nice spottings...hopefully our aviators will sortie on them.

Severe storms effect this raid, but no flak is nice.
