Every time a new PzC title is announced I hope for Balkans '40 (Yugoslavia and Crete '41 included) or Italy '43 (which would incorporate Salerno and Anzio as medium scenarios). Ah, well, live and hope.

I know, this is why I mentioned the three scenarios: "Balkans '40" and "Italy '43" would not be complete without updated versions of them.

I prefer see someday Berlin45... after Budapest45 i find late war titles very interesting for the axis OOBs (i think to in Vienna45), here Scheltd44 is in the line i like more.

Other pair of options are Poland39 (its early war but with a good pair of what ifs...) and Barbarrossa in south front with all that east front axis allies.

PD: if Balkans+Greece in 1940 are well covered... why not winter war + continuation war?

I think that the Russo-Finnish war in general would be too static to be interesting at the PzC scale. I like the suggestions for late-war scenarios (on the Western Front you could have the race for the Elbe, with a "what if" where the Allies do not stop at the Elbe but go for Berlin.

Greetings terminator,
Corrected the ITS error and thanks for pointing it out.

Because I have almost every PzC game and not played them so much, this purchase (Scheldt '44) generated a lot of guilt for me. However, this one is quite diverse compared to the myriad of Eastern Front games. The User Manual is much updated with many period photos, and the Designers Notes clearly showed the incredibly detailed work that went into this project.

I held off on buying Japan '46, as it is generally very similar to Japan '45. (Does one need two monster games in the same theater?) But this one is quite different.

Due to the terrain and weather, this iteration really requires a lot of thought if you plan to play it by the rules; i.e., you don't mod/cheat the scenarios in your favor. It can be slower moving - no sweeping advances so far - but it captures so well the flavor (poor choice of word here) of the battles.

Anyway, I highly recommend it, even for those who have most of the other games in the series. Good luck!

Thanks for the mini-review. Made me even more interested in it.
While at it, you said you have most PzC titles - I'm going to pick one Eastern Front one when the winter sale starts - any particular favourites to look for?

Truth is I haven't played them enough to give a recommendation. But I believe they have all been updated to Gold status by WDS, which good.

Hopefully, someone here will chime in. Also, can check with the veterans over at https://www.theblitz.club/index.php

Have a good Thanksgiving!

The book Terrible Victory by Zuehlke, Mark (ISBN: 9781553652274) is an excellent account of the campaign and yes it was a real slog for the Canadians.

I was going to ask if someone had read it. It is on my reading list and I have very much enjoyed his other books on the Canadian war effort. So, book + game = merry x-mas

Courland Pocket would be desirable as would Berlin '45.

Berlin '45, including the Seelow Heights, is a big contender. I bet it would sell well.

Really enjoying the enhancements with Scheldt '44, although the historical terrain on most of the maps make most of the scenarios slug fests. Not my cup of tea personally, but easily moddable.

Do one dare to ask where John Tiller himself is in the development team? I tried to read up on the background and it all but i´m all over the place these days, too many games here and holiday sales is not healthy to me.
I buy and install and then i´m back here to read instead of playing the games.

Also, if you want to buy this game i saw on their page that, quote: "For orders of $199.00 or more you can enter the discount code BulkOrders at checkout and a 20% discount will be applied. There is no expiration on this offer". /quote.

Hi Gents....looking for old posted information re; Tillers Pzr. camp. series, code /digit translation and usage. Example and this is from Scheldt;

fixed unit-

1 45 53 5761 16 16 548 0 0 16777280 0 5762 5763 10855 -1

not fixed unit-

1 52 88 4595 16 16 251 13 18 553649185 0 4594 -1

I lost a cheat sheet I had, and have figured out strength, fatigue, movements pts code/digits etc., ex; the 4th line digit for the not fixed unit, '13' is for fatigue...but I cant seem to remember or get any further, and cant remember where I saw that information before....any help, would be greatly appreciated.

John is the programmer for the series, so any changes go to him and if approved are implemented by him. Actual scenario development is handled by the team over at WDS with David Freer at the helm.
