So I'm the Axis, it's April 1941. At the end of the replay of my opponent's last turn, the Military Activity Summary states that "Yugo signs the Tripartite Pact and Joins the Axis," "Greece Mobilizes in response to the coup in Yugo," and "Yugo prepares for war." Nothing about a pro-Allied coup (except the oblique reference re Greece), or Yugo joining the Allies. However, the diplo panel indicates that Yugo is 99% aligned with the UK. So I assume that my opponent funded the pro-Allied coup, and that something to that effect should have been included in the end of turn summary. This isn't a complaint really, just something to address in a future update.

I'm pjg100's opponent and yes I funded a coup in Yugoslavia during my last turn.

The sequence of events was odd. Normally, after I fund a coup, a turn will go by and then Yugoslavia joins the Axis. Then immediately after joining the Axis, Yugoslavia joins the Allies.

This time Yugoslavia joined the Axis and then went 99% Allied. I'm guessing that Yugoslavia will join the Allies during my next turn. But who know which way they will flip.

The sequence does not seem fair to the Axis player because he has decide whether to attack Yugoslavia now or lose a turn waiting to see which way Yugoslavia flips.

Mentioned recently here https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4902321

I think it will be addressed in the next patch

Thanks, I've found the issue and the good news is that it just affects the text that appears on screen, rather than what's really happening.

Essentially, and this doesn't appear to be a new issue, the same text had been appearing whether or not there was a pro-Allied coup in Yugoslavia.

So, whatever really happens in game terms due to the scripts will be dictated by the British response to the coup Decision.

Actually, thinking about it further this is correct, as Yugoslavia did join the Axis in real life, and then the coup happened taking it into the Allied camp.

So I won't change the text because that text does match the process of events.

The main issue from my (Axis) perspective is that the report at the end of the replay of the prior Allied turn did not inform me that the pro-Allied coup had occurred. Confusingly, it just referred to Yugo joining the Axis, but the Allies in fact funded the coup and Yugo did go to 99% pro-Allied. So it's just a matter of adding an entry in the report for the subsequent Axis turn informing the Axis player that the pro-Allied coup had occurred.

Thanks Bill.

Just wondering, in the past Yugoslavia joined the Allies during my Allied turn and then I was able to move Yugoslavia units. This time Yugoslavia went 99% Allied and I didn't get a chance to adjust the placement of Yugoslavia units before they were crushed by the Germans.

Is there a randomization of Yugoslavia's response to the coup? Like, a percentage chance they will join the Allies, or go 99% Allied, or maybe end up joining the Axis anyway? If so, would I be able to find those percentages somewhere?

There is a randomization on the timing, but not as to whether it joins the Allies if the British support the coup.
