Starting a thread to hold modified equipment icons.

A collection (.zip file) of modified icons should include a text document identifying the creator of the modified icons, and any use of the modified icon for a scenario should credit the icon creator.

The icons are 50x20 pixel .png images. To use them, one must copy the entire image and paste it into a scenario-specific Equipment256.png file using a graphics program.

DO NOT paste the images into the main Equipment256.png file for TOAW. Make a copy of the Equipment256.png file and work with the copy, else the installation copy may get corrupted.

Cheers

Here is mine, limited to WWII East Front equipment:

The icons actually look more crisp in-game. Once you get the hang of doing it, making new icons is really easy. In addition to adding new icons, I've rearranged the icons by equipment type (with misc stuff on the far right). I mainly added guns, small arms, planes, and ships, although also a few AFVs.

76mm, they look great. Can you send me the Equipment256.png file and a description of what the icons are (or an equipment file that matches their positions in the tableau) ? I'll break them out to individual 50x20 .png files and post them as a library for the Eastern Front.

Cheers

76mm,

Of these icons, the new ones are the ones without the gray edging color (totally yellow)?

Also, any idea on the aircraft and naval equipment? Some of the aircraft I recognize.

Cheers

yes, of course, although I will have to look at my list to be sure. Also, some of the Soviet tractors, etc. probably aren't familiar... Usually I'm pretty organized but I can't find a list and am not 100% I made one, but I will double-check.

Josant,

Those were very nice as well.

May I extract them as individual 50x20 pixel images and post them as a .zip file in this thread?

Cheers

Appreciate all the work that’s gone into drawing new equipment silhouettes. Well done.
Do they also come in black?

Regards

Downloaded the modified equipment file some time ago and have long since forgotten the name of the designer. I just liked the black color over the yellow . . . much more pleasing to the eyes.

Regards
