I've owned CW2 for a while now but have never gotten to play it beyond a few turns. I tried the zips from Matrix initially. Then the steam version. Then the steam version again. That stopped working, so I went back to the Matrix zips w/latest patch. All this over, maybe, a year. A few nights ago I tried again and it worked great. Better FPS than I've ever seen before. I played four or five turns of a new game. Now when I fire up the game, it crashes while loading. I cannot recall all the past errors. I kept telling myself, "Oh, I'll look into it at some point." The latest error looks like this: Exception EAccessViolation das le module CW2.exe dans 0043649D. As far as I know nothing on my computer has changed in the past few days. Who knows, Microsoft is crafty. Any help?
