I am only able to play small planets.
On medium planets, I can watch a youtube video between turns right from the start. If the wars become bigger I can forget it.

Turn times need to be drastically improved.

Edit: I just checked. my CPU is at 20% of its capacity during turn calculation. So the CPU is not the bottleneck.

The normal in these type of games is one turn per day, by email with human opponents.

When you have worked for half an hour to fully manage your turn, you should hit end turn, and go for a walk, make a cup of tea, or do something healthy :-)

I like to play 1-2 hours singleplayer. If I manage to make 2 turns in that time, because of the calculation time, that time is wasted.

The normal type is somebody playing single player and does not want to go for a walk every turn.

You have multiple cores? The one this is only able to use might be used to the max.. The problem here is no multi-core support.

EDIT: this is also not unusual in games nowadays. Now that the new consoles have multiple cores, it is likely going to be changing for the better.

Hi,
so I play on medium planet, hard+more time to AI, turn number 50, v1.06.07.
Now one AI turn is about 4-6 minutes.

This 5 minutes is not great not terrible, however, it was faster with previous versions. Do I need stronger config?
Thank you.

Config:
Intel Core_i5_4670_3.40GHz
16_0GB Dual-Channel_DDR3_798MHz
