Very simple suggestion: When you click on a unit to get to its stat screen, make the hitpoints icon be coloured yellow when the unit is a hard target and keep it green when it's a soft target. Or something else that would achieve a similar effect. I just think it should be easily visible if the unit is a soft or a hard target. It can be confusing sometimes, especially with arachnids and other alien animals that might or might not have a feat that makes them a hard target.
Maybe make it blue for aircraft, since they are neither hard nor soft, but it doesn't matter much.

By the way, I just looked through the manual and I don't think it ever actually mentions what soft and hard even is. I know it refers to unarmored vs armored, but not everyone is a wargame player.

Good idea.

I guess we would need at least 4 indicators with the current/close future game:
Soft Ground
Hard Ground
Aircraft
Navy

But Navy might be able to grow a seperate "submarine target type", wich is not attackable by surface ships. Wich would get us to 5.

Maybe adda small Icon to the HP? Not sure what to use for soft targets, but Hard Ground could get a shield, Airforce a plane, surface and sub-surface navies a small pictogramm of hte proper type?
Alternatively, just write the "target type" onto the unit card in plain text, like you do with movement type.

Vic just really needs to include optiosn to add more types later. We do not want to end up with Camels counting as ships or something like that
