Considering the absolute PR disaster unfolding with CD Project Red after another Cyberpunk Delay. I say Eric is doing the right thing by not announcing a date.

Sure, he did announce a year of release though, which is now coming to an end.

Glad to hear that we'll have an update in December, let's hope its the release!

True, though the mistake cyberpunk made was allowing pre-order for the game while delaying the game 3 times in a row. I just feel that is really bad business ethics. Erik has been a lot more honest about the game than so many other gaming companies.

Hi folks,

At the start of the year, a 2020 release seemed extremely certain. While we did make very good progress this year, we are still in alpha and will not release in 2020. In December, I'll be able to reveal much more of the game and talk about our release plans in more detail.

Regards,

- Erik

This has been a crazy year so the delay is understandable.......

Hi everyone,

Latest word from our marketing folks is that with all the other releases and promotions in December, we may wait a bit longer on the big reveal just to make sure it gets enough visibility. However, I'll be talking a bit about DW2 and the timing of that reveal towards the end of the stream in this event:

https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4916775

Also, I'm going to see if I can post something special for you all here before the end of the year.

Smart move, cyberpunk 2077 is 12 days from now, it's gonna be game of the year tier, so best to not do any marketing for now, coz that's a waste of cash.

While it's a waste of cash marketing the game (right now), it's not a waste of mindshare in releasing some more (moving)pictures of the BETA build and instill some confidence in the fans who frequent here

Smart decision. Best have a lowkey December and share a little bit of info for us fans here. The Big announcement can come when the hype dies down.

From the looks of it it´s close to NASA in complexity? Then i can imagine the learning curve is rather steep for this one as well and requires it´s astronaut to maneuver and enjoy it to the full extent. Looks nice so far.

DWU is pretty complex. I imagine DWU2 will be the same, just "different".

Ok everyone, I'm allowed to share _one_ screenshot and discuss it in December here on the forum before the big January DW2 reveal. I'm accepting your suggestions on what you are most interested in seeing at this point in time.

Ship design screen.

Update: There was already a preview for that, sorry. A preview of the main screen would be better.

The main playing screen, showing the full galaxy - at high resolution, so we can zoom in to read all the details in the UI.

Thank you :-)

Main galaxy screen. Make it a gif that shows a smooth zooming transition from galactic view zooming in down to star system view, with the perfect real time orbiting planets!

Absolutely this! And if not that then just a picture of the main galactic view.
