I tested out the new Nordic Iron Ore route and found that it really looks like Alvaro basically made that route disappear for intercepting merchant shipping purposes. I do see the flow rate, in winter I still see that additional 25 resources coming down the coast and intersecting with the 2 resources coming out of Oslo. Finally Germany can take Norway and not have the Allies take down it's merchant shipping in a few winter turns. I tried with subs and a stack of 7 British surface warships from Scapa Flow and never saw a convoy interdiction report. I like this change!

I like the Ireland garrisons, finally makes Ireland less desirable for invasion by the Axis.

I don't like the new Iraq/Persia faking Italy into the war change. Just let the UK invade without it affecting Italy. Pump up the existing garrisons to make them a little tougher to take. Force any conquering country to garrison either country with at least a large infantry corp or have heavy partisan activity happen, hopefully stopping oil flow regularly.

I like that the German division was moved out of port making a turn 1 Norway invasion impossible.

I still need to now play the game through further to really test out the new merchant shipping convoy escort changes but I think they'll definitely improve the game flow with less micromanagement on both sides.

I also like the new Belgium/Netherlands linkage for DoW purposes, stops the ahistoric Die Hard cheap trick to take them down one at a time during the winter.

Best of all I like the new way that we can now move out of fuel or damaged fleets back to port without screwing up the ships in port for their subsequent movement, glad we can move ships to port first and then move ships out of port second.

I wish Alvaro would take the useless Spanish unit next to Madrid and move it to garrison Ferrol hex 122,40, since it is a big size 9 port. Really need to garrison that large Spanish port to make that cheap trick tougher.

Yes that is a very good enhancement especially if the same engine will be used in Warplan Pacific. I assume there will be more ships to move...
