Another quitter (jbezorg) just as game getting good. One suggestion is a no-quitters flag or something and maybe a players ranking system (Order of War had an okay one). Should a resigned game be scored major or decisive victory?

Yet another quitter today with no explanation after several weeks: ahv1973. Hopefully, new tournament system will help with this.

What a douchebag. I've resigned many games very early after getting my asskicked, happens when you take chances. I'm sure I've made people mad when they want to continue the "beatdown". But hey, just post your loss, happens. This game is like Chess, Golf & Poker, not gonna win everytime.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, so be kind.

The quitter's flag has been discussed forever. In my opinion, it isn't going to happen because why someone quits can vary for lots of reasons and it would be incumbent on someone to manage that.

I too have ended many games in 41 and 42 (one in 40 against Fafnir.) I always congratulate my opponent and say why. It's usually because I am well-beaten and my opponent should be proud, not angry.

It would of course be best if someone drops out to say why but they could be dead! I am sorry some opponents don't say why they stopped. My experience over 4-years is they usually don't show up again (which is another reason to not manage.)

For our hobby gaming must be fun.

Happy Holidays to all my gaming friends. My you have a COVID free year.

I'm sure I've made some players mad, I don't go the distance in a game I'm losing. Just send a message, resign, post your loss. I record all my games in Elvis Gold Records threads. I don't worry about getting ghosted, if some dude does return the turn in 10 to 14 days and are taking a beating, I chalk it up as a win.

Agreed in Spades on all points. Saying this as a player who ends up conceding over half the games I get into!
