I'll sort out the Makin, will bring more Base Forces/Aviation (have only 16 AvS now).

Fighters will be positioned there then.

Bangkok was basically doom for Japanese in Malacca, I can probably roll straight to Singapore with what I have.

On the other hand, I have activated the kamikazes, so there is that...

Good to see those torpedo capable Peggys attacking airfields and getting slaughtered. That should mean loss of pilots skilled in NavT.

Nasty turn at Makin where he suddenly started catching your Liberators on the ground and getting airfield hits. Looks like you moved the Libs out, but you are letting the AI bomb Makin without defending against that? Can you bring up some fighters or is the AF too damaged?

Good job on trapping all those IJ units in Bangkok. Your last Intel screen was one of the few I have seen with IJ LCU points loss exceeding the Allied LCU points loss. It will look even better next time!

I should open up my game and send you a picture of the loss screen. You will be surprised, especially if I turn off the fog of war and show you the ship losses.

Or even figure out how to send you the latest save. Then you could look through that. I have not had the game on for a few days.

Yes, I am Allies against the computer.

Since I have more PP than I can shake stick at, changed Batavia and Soerabaja to ABDA (meaning I can now build Brit MBTs there).Did cost only 3500+ PP together...18500+ still in store.

SE Asia plan:

I wonder if you would mind giving out a mini - OOB for the British/Australians and Indians/West Africans ?

This point of the game is very very interesting to me; I am curious about opinions of experienced players.

If you have two "corridors of advance" which is your primary force (Brits and Aussies likely) and how are you supporting them visa-vie ARM ART ENG....

Situ:

- The drive to Singapore starts relatively easy but in my experience requires good combat engineers as you go further south. Singapore itself is a very tough nut to crack. Further the AI will entrench in Georgetown and every base south and Japanese land units will maneuver (limited) in my experience.
- Similarly the drive through Indochina starts easy but stiffens as you move to China's border.... ultimately Hong Kong is another tough nut to crack. Again the AI will entrench with heavy fortifications and perform cut off limited manuever.

The reason I am so curious is both paths lead to a clear auto-victory in relatively short order.

Singapore + Manila in the Philippines ( and/or a series of all bases in DEI) should roll up the points to a quick win

Hong Kong + Shanghi ( and/or that series of bases Southern China) = same result.

As an experienced player - *opinion* is it better to advance on both fronts - or capture / hold strategic choke points one way and flat out bust through with greater speed the other ??

It does keep an accurate calendar, and the moonlight levels are also exactly as the historic moon cycle (not taking weather into account). That kind of detail in the research for the game is just awesome!

Agree with taking Ponape to hit Truk at range 10. It is easily the best isolated island to use for that purpose. I am using it mostly for B-25s and B-26s because I have Kavieng, Manus, Guam and Tinian for 4E bombers. There are other bases that can be used but when the range gets over 13, Liberators and B-17Ds are the only ones that can carry a full bomb load.
I know those bases I mention may not be available to you yet because the Japanese are too strong there for you to make a quick conquest.
