I have version 1.06.05 I have both the Steam and the Matrix Games versions. I cannot find environmental information available anywhere. Page 70 of the manual manages to state, both prosaically and yet cryptically, the following: "In all Tabs and if your resolution has enough screen width, you’ll be able to see the Hex Info Section. It is possible to disable it by flagging Max Asset Space in the Prefs Tab." It goes on to show an info screen and explain what is shown there, which is all the environmental info. So, I have started the game with Max Asset on, and again with Max Asset off. Neither makes the info appear on the bottom tabs. I've looked in all the reports etc., no luck. The hover screen only provides movement and combat details about hexes. Occasionally, and somewhat indifferently, it provides recon info too. A few questions follow: I'm playing on a laptop so I assume that for me this must be a screen resolution problem. I'm running it at its highest 1366 by 768. I've tried running it at 1280 by 600 to see if that made a difference. Could I possibly inquire as to the required screen width necessary to be able to see hex info? I suppose I could solve it by going out and getting the right equipment, but I'd like to know the info will be there when I do. Isn't this the sort of thing that needs to be fixed? Possibly making hex info available some other way for those of us who have, cough, screen size envy? How can one plan without this info? However, all the planets I have played on, and I have generated planets where it should be an issue, seem to have little variation in weather. Its either really cold all the time, really hot all the time or livable all the time. There seems to be little seasonal effect. My current game has a lot of radiation in different areas. The only way I have of knowing the variations in radiation is by sending a unit into the hex and waiting to check the units Rad level the next turn. I assume this would be true for other types of exposure. Someone, preferably Vic, please let me know what I can do on my end to fix this and when any necessary fix can be expected. Thanks
