It seems that you get enormous bonuses on paying blackmail money to blackmailers. And even double that bending over and paying double. And if you do not, especially Heart gets punished which is extremely weird. I'd like to see "Heart" as strong self esteem etc. I see this as a major design flaw or some perversion of Vic.. Anyone agree there is something wrong with the mechanism?

EDIT: Even leaders seems to love getting blackmailed and you get bonuses of paying money to evil blackmailers. All this is ok if you have a lot of money and a great exploit but it's just not how stuff really goes in the real world and thus I see it as a major design flaw.

Agree with the heart and you'll notice that mind is rewarded for paying blackmail...totally illogical in my opinion. Mind tells me that paying blackmail only encourages more blackmail. And there are other instances where the rewards are not logical to me...and probably others.

Have not had many of these pop up, nor remember the circumstances per the 'blackmails'.
Per this particular one example, however...is it not a good thing (logical if you will) to avoid a war?

My current game is the first one I encountered blackmail. Now I'm hoping it'll happen more often.

"A favourable response to a Major Diplomatic decision moves you closer to their core profile while a negative response moves you away from them.

"So it is more the counter reaction to being negative to this Major that causes your people to instinctively shy away from their ideology."
