You should look up some pictures from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan for snow. Ah, one of the places I wanted to go to when I was snowmobiling. Had a trip planned that got canceled, the next year got sick, not likely to happen. Gaspe Peninsula was another location. Add to that the train out of Toronto to the Arctic Circle drop-off and ride back. Did get to do Yellowstone on a sled. Best time to go, not too many tourists, although there were enough to make it annoying. Sucks gettin' old. Agreed on that last one! If you have enough for an exotic winter vacation (when travel is legal again), you might consider taking a flight or the train to Churchill, Manitoba, on Hudson Bay. Northern Lights are practically guaranteed - my son did a winter survival camp up there and had aurora every night - not just green but whites and reds too. And of course the polar bears (that can't get enough food because the sea ice is reduced so they can't catch seals) hang around settlements looking for trash or pets or careless humans. The tour companies take you out in a huge tracked bus high enough that the bears can't smash the windows ... [tourism shill off!] Getting old is better than the alternative. If you really disagree with that, you can make yourself stop getting older. The problem with that is that there is little chance of reversing that decision. The polar bears will eat the free food since their mothers did not show them what is good to eat when you are a landlubber. They learn from their mothers but if the free food is available, then they will eat that. I read where there are more polar bears now than there were in 1974. In 1924, I do believe that Baffin Bay was ice free into December!
